I will put it next to the popcornmaker, smoothie maker et al. They can all look out of the window together.
These are brilliant, get some part baked baguettes, fill with some cheese and whatever else you like and they come out just like in the cafes

yes it does! thank you!
I use the one in work to grill chicken on too, works a treat!
It aint a 2 portion panini grill unless you've actually found a panini bread baker who makes micro-panini breads

You are very lucky or extremely strong if you've managed to get a normal filled panini in between the grills to obtain and even heat but don't use too much force as the grey outer is not as rigid as you think.

Purchased, tried it two times and after discovering the under size/false description and casing cracked returned for refund

Cheers OP. This is a super deal.
Great, was waiting for this one, or one like it. Bought the other one when it came up on offer a couple of months ago but that one didn't have the floating lid.

Tried not to be tempted - but gave in. Ordered to collect later today! Great price! Useful for making toasties outdoors during summer! Keeps the smell out of the kitchen. Thanks
Looks tiny. Two barely fit.
Any difference between this and a George Foreman? Ie...can I cook sausages on this?

You can, but they will end up swimming in fat, and will be much harder to clean as there is no drainage, george foreman is much more versatile imo, but unless it has a floating lid design, you will have very flat paninis if using one for this purpose alone
Just collected today, there is no switch, needs to turn it off from main plug, also the lead only about half meter long. But can't complain for the price.

Just picked mine up in Ely, Cambs and amazingly had 2 more left. Usually offers like this you can't find them in any Argos anywhere. Looks good, Nice find.

What's the difference between this and a sandwich toaster?

A sandwich toaster normally compresses the edges to seal everything in. A press like this on the other hand just presses down the top.
A sandwich toaster is better for runny ingredients like beans or chocolate (not tried it, but heard it's nice), a press is better for most other things.
