Bought this for £19.99 a couple of weeks ago.
A great slow cooker, and a good size. Cooked a 4.8kg Turkey in it last weekend!
Even better value now for some of you!

Also been looking to get myself one, and you've just given me the same dilemma as yourself, which of these two to go for.
I'm just not sure. You decide!

I have the morphy richards one and its a great slow cooker, well worth the extra fiver imo.

I'm intruigued to learn how you cooked it. As a pot roast?

And I have the cookworks one (2years old now and used every week) and it's worth saving the fiver imo

Just sat on a few quartered onions. (Not me - the Turkey!)
Salt, pepper and some paprika on the top, no liquid.
To be honest, poultry doesn't really need slow cooking, but if you're out for the day it's another option.
Stripped it and put the carcase back in the slow cooker to make stock to turn into a lovely Turkey soup with leeks and potatoes!

I bought one of these last week, it's great and brilliant size for my large family ( 7 people)

Talking of Turkey.
I suppose you could always make your mulled wine in it over Christmas!

Interesting, may have to try that some time. The primary use our Morphy Richards gets is making soups, particularly chicken which it does brilliantly.

Is that too big for 2 people?

These make great sous vides with cheap STC-1000 temperature controllers. You'll still need something to vac-pack meat but most good butchers will do that for you at no added cost.

had ,mine over a year, great product and cleans up easiy! heat added

I dunno, I bought a similar sized one 6 weeks ago from Sainsbury's just because it was cheap and it looked like something I might use and the checkout girl was nice, I haven't used it or chatted up the checkout girl, so be warned I think.

Yes it is, I bought one about 18 months ago and it is great but 6.5l is massive and you can easily cook enough for 8 large portions. I end up making a large batch and then freezing it but the smaller size (i think 4l) would probably be better for 2 people.

imho yes. A 3.5l serves my family of 2 adults and 2 children absolutely fine

Well I use my slow cooker instead of an oven. It is big for two people, but either fill it half way or make a large batch and freeze the rest. I make bread in my slow cook and this 6.5l pot makes a really decent big loaf

Thanks my mums christmas present sorted, she was only talking about one the other day

Ordered and picked up today and am currently doing Asparagus soup in it, its huge and i cant wait to get a chicken in it this weekend!

The 3.5L model is currently £12:
