If you want a decent coffee, definitely don’t buy this.

You’re better off getting an aeropress for £30 and it will make infinitely better coffee.

Have you tried this Cookworks machine?

Looking for something cheap so I can make a half decent coffee before work at 5am 😴😴 and without much effort!
If I’m honest, no I haven’t tried it. But all these machines are utter rubbish.

You would need to spend at least £150-200 on a machine to get anything half decent.

Get an aeropress if this is your budget.

Don't really have a budget, happy to spend more for something decent but for the odd coffee here and there this one would be a great start... although closest Argos with stock is 140 miles away.

I got this for £210 on Amazon on Black Friday. It makes good coffee but I wouldn’t want anything cheaper. You definitely notice when you have a cheaper machine etc.

Thanks for that, I'll take a look. Hoping to use a smart plug and just have it ready for when I walk down the stairs! Lazy I know but that 5 minutes in bed is definitely worth it
A fantastic deal but not available anywhere near me or has someone found stock ?
I had this, made a half decent espresso but broke after less than 6 months.

Buy an AeroPress instead.

As previously mentioned, you'd be better with an AeroPress

Espresso machines are usually expensive for a reason, the components that make them aren't exactly cheap, if you don't want to spend too much at least get something like a Delonghi, it will probably last a lot longer then this

Unless you want to spend ALOT more money on a decent espresso machine, decent grinder, quality beans and all the other paraphernalia that goes with wanting to make good expresso at home then I would simply get a Nespresso machine - plenty of pod flavours available so you can find the ones you like, the coffee is better than half decent and there is no effort required. If you really want to buy a cheap espresso machine check out the James Hoffman videos available on Youtube. Also - Aeropress is a good option but you will still need good beans and a decent grinder.
I get a perfectly fine latte out of my £50 machine

Normally it's really interesting to watch someone passionate about something. Even if you're not particularly interested in the topic yourself. That's not the case in this video at all. I can't help but hate the guy.

Hoffman is a detestable prat, and irrelevant in the coffee world. He had something interesting to say ten years ago, but he's just a relic now
