The Instant Pot has more functions. You can pressure cook, slow cook, sear, yoghurt make etc etc in an Instant Pot. This Argos one only sautés and pressure cooks.

And £15.99 doesn’t even buy a spare inner pot - Instant Pot not hot (try posting and find out )

Pressure cooking is the one function you want (especially meat/poultry) as it cuts the cooking time right down from a regular oven thus time and cost, unless you have gas which is much cheaper to cook with than anything electrical.

Ok, just got mine and whipped up a beef casserole in it. The pressure's less than my normal terrifying pressure cooker and it takes longer to cook, but I think it's great. And I feel a lot better leaving it unattended.

Thanks, aiz3n.
Looks good! Ordered thanks!

I salute you sir!
Bought. Thanks
Good price. I have a digital pressure cooker and it's brilliant. Use it every few days.
Use my electric pressure cooker every goddamn day. Refried beans, porridge (use steelcut/pinhead oats - sublime), sticky rice, curries. Sky's the limit. Gerrit!
I got one today thanks
Anyone else who got one - does yours ding when it's finished? Mine doesn't even if you wind the timer all the way around, then back to the time you want.
Pressure cookers are dangerous, now slow cookers are always being recommended. Too many injuries from pressure cookers.

Drills and knives are more dangerous than pressure cookers. If you're not a dufus and force the lid off without depressuring the Cooking pot then yes you'll get boiling hot food all over your face and hands. Same could be said for using a knife and not poking yourself in the eye when chopping carrots, or ovens being dangerous because if you climb into one when it's on you'll get burned. I have used a pressure cooker several hundred times with no "danger"
BUT !!!!!!!! for another Four Quid !!!!!!!! you could get this !!!!!!!

I've already pressure fried 5 batches of chicken and coated potato wedges in mine. Tell me about my sins!

And slow cookers can make meat tough, pressure cookers are awesome.

12 minutes for the chicken once it comes up to pressure, by the way, that's if you're doing whole pieces. Nuggets are done in 5. You don't need egg. This gives that borderline gummy texture that I love, if you leave it longer it goes hard and becomes like a shell.

You can do dip in water, then your flour, or do that twice if you want it extra thick, or water, flour, water breadcrumbs is really nice. Chicken shops leave it 15 minutes after coating before putting it in the fryer.

Did you use the sauté setting for that?
Thanks op. Been after one for a while
If, like me you're attracted by the price, but no local stores have the item available and delivery is an extra £4 which makes the deal taste a little bitter. Have a look at the 3 year instant replacement warranty, I usually add this to my electrical purchases anyway. It's about £6.20. This is counted as a separate purchase and because you're then purchasing two items delivery on the cooker becomes free. Or look at it another way, pay delivery at full price and get your 3yr protection for about £2.20. Hope someone finds this helpful.
Ordered this twice and both times were a “ghost” order. (Money charged to credit card but email doesn’t come through and not there when you go to store.)
ebay price now £39.99 - I offered them £16.99 and explained why asking for price match. Declined
