Isn't this the same kettle some people reported taking back on the last deal because it gave the water a plastic taste when boiled?

Thanks, mine just broke

Was given a faulty one when i bought this a weeks ago, so had to return it, luckily the next one was fine, rinsed it out a few times and didn't taste any plastic. Got it with me here and works like a charm.

I bought a similar "cookworks" kettle, and yes, not only does it stink before I even get to the kitchen, but yes, gives the same plastic taste to tea !!!
claimed previous price was £14.99, - no way !

horrid vile crap !

I bought this same kettle just a month ago from Argos for £6.99 (apparently half price then too). Anyway it took 4 weeks and the water still tasted like plastic. Very strong taste to it. I boiled it around 4 times a day so was surprised the taste lasted so long.

I replaced it last weekend - utter waste of money.

Handy to buy cheap and keep as a present for future use.

boiling with a little bicarb is suggested by most manufacturers.. keep an eye on the kettle when you do this though.. bubbles up like mad at the end.

I didn't know this (I knew about boiling the kettle full a few times) - Ill keep this in mind in the future.

DON'T BOTHER BUYING! It may be a cheap price but the taste is disgusting! Every cup of coffee/tea you make with this kettle tastes of plastic. Do yourself a favour and spend a tad more money on a decent kettle - you won't regret it!
