my friend has the cookworks one and its fantastic.

I was going to post this item 10hrs ago but checked local stock and found none so didn`t bother but heat added anyway as some members might found one.

just tried the icheckstock site and after ten pages, gave up....think this needs expiring!!

I have just reserved one at longton Argos stoke on Trent

1 in Andover if your quick

Looks good for the price

Hot from me, reserved one in Knaresborough, North Yorks and there are still two left!

Was about to reserve one until read a lot of comments over the Internet. I guess it can't be that bad for 39.99 good find

One left in Chichester, Sussex

none near me......2 in Mansfield tho

Reserved one in Swansea 1 left, but the reviews are very mixed.

Anyone got one?

why are all good deals from argos never available for home delivery and out of stock at most stores for pickup?!(_;)

i bought one of these two weeks ago and it stopped working after first use:(

There is stock out there, you just have to find it!
I've just found some but it's 29 miles away in Chester...maybe useful to someone

got one last year thinking I was saving a fortune.the other half used it and laughed at me

not worth the money, by a decent one

when was this ever £139..... 28 days once to allow them to offer at this price. look how much it used to be Please note item 4233251 has previously been on sale at £49.99. bet it was on sale for this price a lot longer than for £139

we reserved one at Chester-le-Street, Durham. we have read the reviews since and decided against it. if anyone wants the reservation number it is 248037 and it is reserved until the end of business tomorrow. hope this may help someone

It's been this price a while. Nearly bought one about a month ago, but thought better of it and got the Beville one from Argos instead.

I've had one, I've tried a few different mixers with values up to £200, none have been much good, this didnt mix too well, i paid about £60 at the time for it was just not up to scratch even at that price, i bought the plastic cheap one with bowl for a tenner from argos it did the same as this and all the other i tried but at a tenner i can't complain.

Anyone want the reserve number for Swansea High St its 522560

No Mention of wattage... I recent bought a kenwood prosero 650w mixer for about £150 and was dissapointed with power making doughs etc so bought the 1000W kenwood Chef (Cost £299) and wow, much better... I'd bet this is about 500w or something so no good for making breads etc

Quite a few left in Northumberland!

Yes you really do need "haft" behind a good motor to deal with dough! ....if it is less than 1000w then leave it alone if you want to make bread regularly.
OR alternately spend a some on an older kenwood chef machine, they run forever, we use both an old solid cast kenwood chef & a newer K010 (1400 watts) they can make bread all day if we are batch baking..

My only comment against a kenwood chef is to avoid if poss the lower sized plasticky models, invest in the better metal lump units, it's reflected in the housing, switches etc, got a long lasting feel to it.
Kitchenaid ...baah! pretty but no substance & pricey spares, having used both i'd trust my kenwood anytime.

I have the Aldi one. Got it Sunday but it is really good. Not used it for bread yet, will do that the weekend. I was after one of the ChefAid ones, but couldn't warrant the £300+ for it. Hopefully this is a good compromise and with a 3year warranty I don't see how I can loose
