Humidifiers are brilliant for helping you sleep if you have a cough or cold. Puts moisture in the air so less dry on the lining of your nose etc. Croup too. But not just for kids.
300 ml??? this would fill up in no time

Have been using a similar (no name) device for over 2 years for my son (who's now 3). Nearly every night during winter months.

I use a couple of drops of Olbas Oil with the water which definitely seemed to help with his colds, wheezing etc...

It's been so effective I'm buying this one as a back up as they're usually over £15. Sod's law means my current device will pack up and the variety I'll find to replace will be more like £20! I might try this somewhere else in the house with fragranced oils.

Needs regular cleaning (I usually do it monthly); only takes a couple of minutes with an old toothbrush and drop of washing up liquid and we're good to go.

However, If you already have damp or similar issues in the room you'll use it in, this is probably not for you. I don't have any damp etc but I still air the room out A LOT every day.

Doesn't get so 'dirty' if you use bottled or deionised water - less limescale issues
