Bought one of these probably the best cooler for the money on air, lowest price I can find delivered is 26 quid, option to collect in store for free or add around £4 for delivery, this varies may be cheaper.

This is for my FX8350 that is cooking itself.

Happy New Year.

Need to be in Bolton to collect. Cold otherwise.

Only cold if you can find it cheaper than £14.99 + £5 delivery. I'm not seeing it anywhere else for less than £25 delivered.

You had a happy new year then lol.
I used to have the hyper 212 plus, pretty much the same. I think the differences are very slight.
Anyhow this is a great price! Usually I've seen these hyper 212 coolers posted up here for £20-£30 so this is a great price.
Even when I got mine, I paid the same as this deal.

Anyhow Ive got a noctua cooler now in my new build but this is still a good cooler at a good price, so heat given.
good old 212 loved it. heat.
Thanks Op. Ordered. Only cost £4 for delivery too by choosing 2-5 day delivery. Every little saving helps.

Just incase anyone wants proof. Email still says it will come with DPD so I guess it’s just a delayed dispatch.

From what I have read the heatpipes are the same and have small gaps in, it was the Evo that had the pipes with no gaps in the copper but it makes little difference, it is more the new mounting system on these that is a lot easier to mount,

I'm swapping out an Asetek LCLC that just never really did the job, it's getting on in years now, can't be bothered with WC as it's just a HTPC now anyway.
Excellent deal. Just can't bring myself to replace my zalman CNPS9500AT which i've had for like ten years now. Pure copper base.

Bargain mate, I'm in Northern Ireland and they wanted 4 quid odd for collection at the local DPD which is 6 miles away.

You know I had one of these on my Q6600 clocked to 3.2 and I loved it until I spilled beer on my PC and it caught fire lol, I actually looked for one of these but you can't buy them anymore?

Yeah I knew the difference was very little but didn't look into it. I had an old i3 overclocked with the hyper 212 plus with a push and pull setup, it did a fantastic job. I didnt even have to run at full power, just one of the fans I let the mobo control it so sometimes under high load you could hear one of the fans powering up faster an bit louder then but wasn't that loud still. If anything it was the 7x 80mm case fans in my old case that were the most noisiest even at low setting.

Buy it again for £15 then take the new sealed fan back to store number 1 for a £26 refund.
Just spend the money on an aio liquid cooler
Specs on website indicates it's not PWM and not an Adjustable Fan Speed Controller unit or am I misreading the spec sheet?.
Would Evo be better for 5 quid extra or so?
Thanks
I would say £ for £ these are the best value for money, popular heatsinks by none. Just wish i could source those plastic fixings?.

Well it has one job to do and if it does a stella job why change it...Very nice cooler by the way.

Hard to find any real comparisons to see the difference. Probably very little in it. Seen one person say the Evo's closer heat pipe surface produces slightly better cooling, but didn't provide any proof.

Go with which one you think looks best, I guess. Either should be plenty good, as nobody buying a 'value' cooler is looking for absolute maximum overclocking anyways.

Don't buy the RED …Don't buy the RED LED:https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/723331-cooler-master-hyper-212-evo-vs-led/See the post with the pictures!

It's all well and good saying that the heat pipes are different, but unless you can prove it makes a difference in performance then you have no argument.

You'd probably get more of a performance gain by using better thermal compound. Even that has been proven to only make a degree of two of improvement. Anything that's not 10 degrees cooler is a negligible difference in the real world and you'd be wasting your money.

I don't need to prove anything. Just read the reviews:

bit-tech.net/rev…/3/

It's the older worse heatsink!

Cooler Master Hyper 212X - 53

Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED
- 77 (FAIL)

bit-tech.net/rev…/2/

Conclusion

With its older heatsink design and slower spinning fan, the only real reason you'd opt for this cooler over theidentically priced and better performing Hyper 212Xis for the red LEDs in the fan. If you're running an overclocked processor, however, it's hard to recommend doing this, as the fan just isn't that effective at evacuating heat from the heatsink, even when running at full pelt. If you're using a stock speed CPU, the Hyper 212 LED will serve you fine, but there are still better options out there.

Will it work with AM4 motherboards?
Great coolers for the price. Always better than stock coolers

These are the CPUs the Cooler Master Hyper 212 is compatibly with:
Intel LGA 2066 | 2011-3 | 2011 | 1366 | 1156 | 1155 | 1151 | 1150 | 775 socket
AMD AM3+ | AM3 | AM2+ | FM2+ | FM2 | FM1 socket.
Probably being stupid, but is there any performance difference between this version and the regular version? Other than rgb gives you +15 fps

Thing is, it's not identically priced here.

Also, if actually look at the review, it's a bit of a bizarre conclusion. The LGA2011 results are very strange and not at all indicative of what an ordinary user would find, I'm quite sure. Especially since the 212 LED is close behind the 212X in the other two platform tests. Besides, how many people here in this thread interested are running an LGA2011 chipset anymore, ya know? It's outdated and was niche even in its time.

It does show the 212X is slightly better, but in this case, it would also cost more. Of the two normal test results there, the differences seem like they'd be fairly negligible for a normal overclocker. The conclusion you quoted above certainly doesn't seem justified as it ran a fairly well overclocked 4690k just fine, still below 60 degrees. And even running the 3930k overclocked to 4.2Ghz(a reasonably high OC for this CPU) at less than 80 degrees is still also just fine if that's what a user actually would see(it wont, since nobody looking for a CPU cooler right now uses that CPU). Hardly the sort of result that you'd say is a 'fail' and that means it cant run an overclocked CPU, only stock.

That said, the 212X might be worth the extra if you're not worried about the LED. You'll likely have this CPU cooler for 2-3 years+, so an extra £15 might not be such a big deal for a little extra peace of mind. Not that the 212 LED will let you down or anything, either...
