Good price, probably the best I've seen (this is the semi-Otaku one with key markings on the front of the keys instead of on top so another +1). Mine's similar but Cherry MX Black and I love it. I used a Dell rubber-dome kbd earlier today and it was weird. I would love to try browns.

Somebody said this keyboard is made by the same OEM as Filco so I chose it over the Corsair competitor for that reason (and better F-key position). Search this Anandtech page for "Filco" to see what people think.

The only thing I really want out of my QFR that it doesn't have is lit keys. I work pretty much in the dark so dark amber glowy key lettering would be nice... I think that's when things get expensive so this kbd is a great introduction to mechanical keyboards.

Good price, white backlight sadly

great board, great price

has this got the UK double row enterkey or the small horrible US one ?

has this got the UK double row enterkey or the small horrible US one ?

When I bought mine from Amazon the image was ANSI (US small enter with # where £ should be. Think that's 86 key) but I received an ISO layout (UK plus some Euro accented chars, has £ key. Think it's 88 key)

I think they all use stock images of US keyboards but send the right one for your area. Sounds stoopid until you read up on the huge number of layouts that exist, especially for Europe.

Awww crap. I want one now. Refuse! Resist!

Are these loud keys. The mrs needs to watch nonsense on the TV while I type in the same room?

Backlight?

Good keyboards but I love my k70, I thought I was a bit mad spending £120 on a keyboard but it was worth every penny for a future computer scientist and gamer like me!

It's a keyboard without letters on the keys....eh?

Any recommendation for a mechanical keyboard for office work?

Kinda looks like my Das Keyboard Ultimate S, albeit the DK is truly stealthy. Mechanical all the way.

It would be great if they made these 'gaming' keyboards with blue switches. This keyboard is roughly half the price of a Filco tenkeyless with MX Blue switches.

In 30 years of using all sorts of Keyboards, from IBM Metal Terminal keyboards to lightweight B/T keyboards I've never worn the letters off a key !

Your office co-workers will probably want to kill you though from the noise. Browns are quieter.

Strange that, the last two laptops I've had and a old Dell keyboard of mine have lost a few of the letters, depends on use really, WASD always seems to fade for me no matter what!

wow, we have gone back to the 1980s, lol - you couldn't give these away 10 years ago - how times have changed - ill bet apple will take the credit for inventing it

My typing has got quieter after some use but not as quiet as the Holy T41 Thinkpad which, I fear, will never be repeated. You can buy O-Rings on ebay (remove each key with the provided tool and fit one to each key) so bottoming-out keys is quieter but the more you type the less you bottom-out key so the quieter you get.

Except no, they're not "same room" quiet (like t41 was )

Cherry RGB MX just means that the backlight can be changed to any colour; that doesn't affect the type of switch that it uses (e.g. red, blue, brown, black). I think Cherry have stated that they'll make RGB MX in Red first, other types later.

Is this UK layout? If not can I convert this from USA to UK?

Heat given. Cheers.

This should be UK layout as the tk has a UK layout version (I own a white one) and there is UK in the product Id. If you are still unsure give ebuyer a ring and they'll tell you for sure.

Don't need this at all but for this price..

which keyboard are ebuyer selling exactly? is it the one in the product image with traditional tenkeyless (TKL) design, the one in the specs picture of a none standard layout, or the French layout in the specification description?!

is this the tenkeyless version as pictured within the image? if it's not then i'm sad! False advertising much. The product code specifies it's the one with the numpad. confused...

I'm wondering this too. Has anyone ordered this? If it's the TK I'm in, otherwise not, and I know what eBuyer's 'service' is like, so not worth taking the risk!

Sorry for bad explain,
yes,
RGB MX can only change backlight colour,
By the way I think Corsair may release the RED First and then BLUE and Brown, And BLACK may never come...

+1 on that!

Guess all the heat is from people who are not buying!

Update: Ebuyer have removed the TKL image from the product page, its the weird numpad no cursor layout thing... COLD!

Yes indeed. The product code on Ebuyer is SGK-4021-GKCM1-UK, which would be the UK layout, Cherry MX brown variant of the CM Storm QuickFire TK:

Great price just ordered this as well. It's going to be my first mechanical keyboard, i can't wait for it to arrive.

Mine arrived today. I'm not a gamer but alway liked the feel of Mech keyboards plus the precision.

When I got it I was a big shocked. Ok I knew there was not dedicated arrow key no big problem but

1) The tops of the keys were blank - not a huge problem - my typing has improved!! Just a shock
2) Noise is ok it is the key striking the base not the switch which is ok
3) Precision feel and zero lateral travel improves typing accuracy
4) Would not work on some of my USB3 ports (Drivers installed but keyboard as dead) plugged into USB2 port all fine
5) Took me 3 minutes to find the key to turn OFF numlock - Its the top left of the pad. When off the arrow key light up
6) At first sad that the whole keyboard did not light up but I think my typing is SO much better now.
7) Build is superb
Uses old Mini USB not Micro USB not a problem just FYI

Over all very happy. Thanks OP

Thanks for clarifying this. It helps somewhat, but you still cannot have cursor keys and a full numpad at the same time. I was looking for a full layout keyboard, with cursor AND numberpad keys. If the either/or situation works for you, that's great since this otherwise is a fine keyboard

EDIT: fixed a typo. See, I need a new keyboard

No this is not a full size keyboard. You know I was like you thinking a full size would be better. Now I found my full size a bit awkward to use because when you leave enough room for mouse you normal keys are not at the centre of your desk making you have to lean to the left. This is not the best posture to type on. Now I want a ten key less one such that it move more to the central of my body when typing. And I found this which is not a tkl but very close to, at a good price. The side legends just make a bit more descrete

Btw, amazon price matched. Ordered through flubit and get a few £ save.
