This is a good budget case, but Cooler Master branded PSU's are generally pants, all manufactured by no name OEM's, check out the site below for comprehensive PSU reviews.

not too sure about that mate, i haven't been able to find a review for this particular psu but some coolermaster psu's are top end and some are maybe not so great according to reviews that are out there.

as for the case, reviews are generally pretty good, check out newegg user reviews, for example

I second that like, Coolermaster PSUs ARE NOT PANTS they can be very good. I've built loads of systems using the bundle on ebuyer which came with a 460W Coolermaster PSU and not a single one has had a problem in over 3 years of system building, I'd say that's pretty impressive. And they do some top High end PSUs aswell

even corsair psus fail occasionally, doesn't necessarily mean this is a bad psu. that was really crap of ebuyer though.

Must have been outside the 1 year Warranty as that was up to Ebuyer to fulfill - anything after to that would have been up to the manufacturer.

I am taking it that Scan are not going to put a new Today Only on Friday then from your post??

Even the Corsair HX psu can fail and can take a motherboard+ram with it.

Bought this last week on "today only", only received it yesterday and only had a quick look inside, still waiting for other parts to build a new (ish) system.

Regarding the case, there are 5 fan mounts spare (not including front blue LED fan which is supplied), 2 top (with filters), 1 back, 1 side, and 1 bottom (as well as 1 for PSU). Cable management from the supplied PSU looks to be tight, as there is no room behind the motherboard stand to route cables, though there looks to be plenty of room for hard drives, as the graphics card would sit at about the 3.5" floppy slots. The case comes with plenty of tie backs and screws.

The PSU has 2 x sata cables (2 sata devices each), 1 x IDE/floppy cable (2 x 4 pin), 1 PCI-E cable, as well as the standard MB connectors. My only concern is the 4 pin CPU, which normally goes to the top of the MB, is only 50cm long, it should still reach but has to go over the graphics card, and I am not sure if it would be long enough if two cards were in place.

It won't be, I had to buy a 4pin 12v extension for my CM430. Only a couple of quid but well pointed out.

thanks for all these info mine dispatched and I got to say very impressed with ll the emails updates scan sending

Pants may be a bit strong, but the thing with Cooler Master is they don't manufacture the PSU's themselves, they are all sourced from elsewhere, so some PSU's will be fine, and some really are totally pants, so it's a lottery, depending on the original manufacturer of the PSU in question.

yeah i failed to explain, it was within warranty but it was a case + psu combo deal, ebuyer had to have both back to replace the psu.

oh well, still on offer all weekend after all. X)

Is the Slieo worth the money? I've got a really noisy gpu fan. The case and psu is cheaper on Scan than the case alone on ebuyer?

Just want something which will drown out my gt240- any advise welcome
