Why is this getting cold votes? Any reason?

No idea on the cold voting maybe it's as there's free alternatives I used too have older copilot on desire and thought it was quite good, I'm half tempted buy this for iPhone...

I have no idea mate. But i voted hot.

Probably voted cold beacuse a) it's not free and b) it's not TomTom. c) people vote cold for the fun of it.

I use CoPilot 9 on Android and it's very good. Use to use TomTom on Windows mobile phone, but not available on Android so switched to this.
Works very well once you get use to the differences. Yes there are free alternatives, but certainly on Android none of them come close to CoPilot, well worth £15.

Voted Hot.

It seems a good deal to me.

I've got the original Co-Pilot Live on my iPhone, what's the main differences with this "Premium" one and is it worth updating?

I've also got it on android for the same limited time deal. Great buy, voted hot.

Hi,
Anyone here tried it on an ipad? As it is for iphone I don't want to buy it without some feedback from others. It says it'll work on an ipad but I transfered the few apps that were on my old itouch and they on;y oipen the size of the itouch screen. You can magnify it x2 but is then blurry.

I'm not sure what the difference is - it looks more '3D' than the previous version to me (probably not the right term but i hope you know what i mean. I have it on android though so i'm not sure if the iPhone one is different.

good little app on my andriod, heat added

The package hes been re-written, that's why it's not a free upgrade. It is very similar to V8, but layout and menus have been improved, it feels more responsive. A few extra features, like drag and dop to alter your route. Can't even remember the other differences. I went with this as it's cheap and will get the free updates, whaere as I guess V8 will not receive any more.

Does anyone know if you can play your music on your iphone at the same time as using this? Cheers!

worth an upgrade from 8 to 9 ? Cant see many difference apart from it being a little more responsive.

You can on an android - not sure about iPhone, sorry.

Some people may be voting it cold because the program doesn't seem to work currently with the iPhone 3GS even with the latest iOS installed. ALK have missed a trick here.

Already mentioned in an earlier post, voted cold due to those comments

Saw this a few days ago & didn't post it due to the attitude of ALK so sorry I voted cold too (at least I'm giving a reason for voting cold rather than some cold voters voting that way but not stating why!)

Reasons explained fully in the other thread:

Not voting, but I bought the Android version a day or two after release at £14.99 and I've been pretty unimpressed. It lacks features and is buggy. Many, including myself, would describe it as a beta test release and not ready for sale as a finished product. You can read the issues for yourselves at....

getsatisfaction.com/cop…mon

Compared to V8, which I haven't used, it seems there are features which have disappeared, making this anything but "Premium". It's more like CoPilot Lite, with bugs and other issues present. At £14.99 I'll be keeping my copy in the hope that ALK releases fixes for the problems. If I had paid £29.99 I would be seeking a refund.

Maybe the iPhone version is better than the Android one.

p.s. Just look at the comments in the Android Market for the UK version - market.android.com/det…ult.

£14.99? Absolute bargain! It works ... and it's much better than various free products. Highly recommended.

Having used V8 Europe on an iphone 4 for the last year or so, and having been happy with the USA one as well, I downloaded V9 Premium last night and fired it up, and had a good play around for a couple of hours.

Others have described it as a beta product - I completely agree. Crazy routing (I tested my normal route to work - what should have been a 15 minute 7 mile trip turned into a 25 minute 20 mile route wtf), loss of functions (one I noticed straight away was you can now only see two different pieces of information on the main screen, ie. ETA, distance, etc., in V8 you could have a lot more info rolling), crashing, etc. etc. etc.

I don't mind being a beta tester, but at this price?!

V8 UK & Europe was being sold for £19.99. V9 Premium is currently £14.99 which is 50% off, making it's RRP £29.99 - that's a pretty big price increase.

In my opinion it's behaviour like this that gives any app store a bad name. OK if you've paid 59p for an app, not so OK at £15!

If anyone knows the quickest way to get a refund from these sharks please let me know.

Just an update the thieves at ALK decided not to give a full 7 days rip-off discount at £14.99 now gone up to £17.49 - can't they count over there? They certainly can't produce a complete finished product

As a side note it's probably due to apples new pricing policy - we aren't getting enough money so let's rip off the Brits even more!!!

is all about tomtom

TomTom is the best
