Mini tube cutter with a cutting range of 3-28mm.
Zinc Alloy Steel

Was £3.

I have this and its brilliant. Got mine from Screwfix and it has a spare blade so its really good value. Pretty sure this one does under a cover on the back.

I've had one for about a year and for the money they are great for occasional non professional use.
They also have a spare cutter wheel behind the back plastic cover.

Not bad for my sweet havanas

Just go very easy using (turning & tightening) it as if not you will end up cutting a spiral.

Rothenberger much better will last a lifetime but they do cost slightly more!

good find op,bargain, heat added

33% off then, hot, well done op

Bit too small for parking meters?

Cheapest price i've seen, heat added

I had one of these for years and then my wife bought me an automatic one which you can use with one hand. I know they are more expensive at about £7/£8 but once you have one of those there is no going back. They are ultra quick, can be used with one hand and they cut square unlike the one posted which as another has said, very easy to cut a spiral unless you are careful. These are ok as a back up or spare but if you just need one for 15mm then buy the automatic one.

I've used both. you wouldn't see a plumber using one of these. Automatic is the way to go, easier to use and a better slice. £4.70 amazon

Odd way of looking at it..

Just got the oul lad one.

Maybe hot for a price but for me there is only one way to go for the cutter of pipe and that is the better way. If buy this then good but not lots more for one superior.

£3.70 here for a proper auto pipe cutter with spare blade. these in this … £3.70 here for a proper auto pipe cutter with spare blade. these in this listing will last for 1 or 2 cuts then they start to bend and will be scrap. You have been warned.

In which listing the Amazon one you posted or the Screwfix one?

The best thing to buy if money is no object & to make it as trouble free as possible is a Rothenberger 15mm auto cutter & a Rothenberger 22mm auto cutter. 15 times as much money but as fool proof as it can be.

However if you are VERY careful this £2 cutter may very well work (I wouldnt touch it with a very long stick though)

Just to reiterate - these are okay in a pinch but a Pipe Slice (that's the original brand I think) auto cutter is far better. Surprisingly cheap now, I see.

cant beat pipeslice for 15 or 22mm.

Not really.

"4.16 tins of Tesco value beans cheaper".

Now that would be odd.

One of the best little bits of kit I ever bought - HOT!

Basin wrench are £1 in Wickes clearance bins near tills.

Never changed so many taps and cut so many pipes till this year!

No probs. There are a few people on here that know about plumbing.

Decent price, lol at the comments. I'm a plumber and do use these no problem.

Excellent bit of kit, probably not great for constant professional use but for the DIYer it's great. Never had a bad or spiral cut, be careful and take your time and it'll do the job just fine.

Stubby, which is incredibly useful when you're cutting a pipe in situ.

im a diy'er & used one these to cut copper pipe, speedfit hose with no issues.
also more lately used to cut conduit piping. Being adjustable it is really versatile!
I have also used it to cut back sat & network cables, however you need to be quite delicate.

the point is that if a novice used them then obviously the result wouldnt be the same. Like you said, you are a pro.

Kopex is a better brand. Rothenberger stuff has went way down hill. Had many rothenberger pipe slices over the years, always end up spirralling within a few weeks. Overrated and overpriced.

I bought mine & extra cutting discs about 7 years ago so I cant speculate on what the quality is now. You may be very well spot on?

And the moral of the storey?

Hire a professional?

Bad workman blames his tools?

Yeah Rothenberger used to be pretty decent, definitely a drop in quality these days though. I use my pipeslicers for possibly a hundred cuts a day (heating installer) and rothenberger just arent up to scratch. Ive had to return about 3 of their blowtorches, their pipe bender ripples the pipe and plastic pipe cutters broke within a couple of weeks. Just dont understand whats happened to that brand. If you need any in future, go with kopex, about £12 from BES

When I have run out of cutting discs I will give them a go. Cheers.
