Already have a glue gun and many times I would have preferred not to run an extension cable.
Seems a good price compared to Amazon and cheapies on eBay.

Just need to think of something that needs a'glueing and I am off to Lidl...
Assuming this is an update of the one they've always done, they are very good. Don't confuse them with the rubbish low power hobby ones most places sell, this is much more powerful and physically twice the size. The advantage of the high power is it gets the glue much hotter and allows repositioning and the glue will also flow into gaps...very good for burning fingers too! This is a useful DIY tool rather than just meant for sticking glittery crap to cards and the like.

No idea what I will use it for but I want one anyway.
Always want a hot glue gun but I can't think of any to glue yet, it's a good price! Think I will go to get one
Good price and a useful piece of kit to have
Yes, this one is great.
Bought one a few years ago and have made Easter bonnets for the kids (take a straw boater and stick anything remotely Easterish or Jesus looking on it).
Bought a big box of glue sticks with it but sat in the garage unopened, need to Google 101 uses for a glue gun apart from S&M uses, hot candle wax is way too messy when you can whip this bad boy out from under the bed

If you have Amazon Prime I think you'd be better of with the Stanley Dual-temperature glue gun for just £7.22 - excellent gun and very handy with dual temps.

However, as this is a cordless gun I'll get one of these too as corded can be a pain sometimes - especially when trying to stand them up when not using them.

The gluesticks also available from Lidl on 5 November are not a bad price for 18 x 11 inch sticks (which will also fit the Stanley). You can get cheaper but usually only if you buy a bulk pack where the price per stick is lower, but maybe not everyone needs 100 sticks!

Thanks for posting as I like the idea of cordless!
Nice find op! Hot - Will be looking out for one of these
Despite the date, I'm bound to forget about this by the time it's in store, sigh. I broke the trigger on my corded glue gun recently and could do with a new one.
Oooh another glue gun, and cordless too! I must have one!
could do with this
This is cordless the same way a corded one is if you unplug it.

Yeah that is what I was thinking. You are going to have to have the base next to whatever you are gluing so you still need to get out the extension cable.

I am assuming it only heats up when it is in the base.

Yes thats correct the base only alows the mains to be connected slightly easier and you dont have a cord hanging off the glue gun. It is a good glue gun but cordless almost seems to imply something it isnt.

If its a loose trigger just take it apart and re seat the spring on it, it's a common problem and an easy fix.
I like the fact it comes with a dedicated stand/drip tray .
May be handy too lol.
So, seems no specs. What is the wattage?

Exactly the same as a cordless clothes iron.

I bet it's 20watts.
Are glue sticks a universal size? Or do I need to buy a load when I buy the gun? Thanks
The wife picked one up today, and it looks pretty smart! Certainly worth the £7.99 IMO. I thought I would take some pics to help those undecided.

A nice thing I discovered - if you are using for extended time where the cordless option won't work, you can also plug in the same cord for the base station into the bottom of the gun (as pictured).

Tech specs:

Nominal Power: 25W (starting 500W)
Heating up time: approx. 5 min.
3 year warranty

Takes 11mm diameter sticks - so seems pretty universal! The Lidl ones seem pretty long however.

How long where you able to use it after it was unplugged from the power ? or does it cool down pretty quick ?

either way looks good for the money
