Think you have to buy the batteries separately and they are about £30-£50

No batteries unless you want to fork out £129 over on eBay for a £29.99 battery.

I had to buy this off eBay £40 which is the same battery as Aldi but terminals as swapped so + is - . I had to open mower up and swap the spades in the mover from - to + and it would accept the battery. It was only way to sort it out with the lack of batteries.

:/ Bit outside my understanding but I did see this. I'd prefer the original battery, charger is £15. Locally noone has a 40v battery
I think the reason this cordless mower is still available in many Aldi's and being seemingly continuously discounted is it's pretty rubbish!

If you are looking for budget cordless garden tools with always available batteries ( plus many cheap compatibles) you can't go wrong with Worx imo. Just a matter of waiting for the mower/Strimmer set to reduce to 135 on Amazon again as that also comes with 2 batteries and dual charger.

That's ridiculous that they use different terminals.
Aren’t Ferrex just rebranded Worx ? And I think the batteries are compat

Yeah batteries are same mouldings but the orange ones are - - T + + and ferrex are + + T - -

There’s a white plastic plug that goes to the main board in the mower that contains red / black wires. All I did was unhook the red and black and swapped them over as simple as that. The mower now works on the other brand batteries that are available everywhere on eBay at sensible money.
The 40v batteries will be on sale from the 20/10/19,
Not sure on price though, this info come direct from Aldi

But that's the problem - they should be available to buy all the time!

That’s kinda against the business model, they should have been included in the box really

Nothing wrong with their cordless range, I have most of it and it works great, can mow the front and back garden twice on a single charge, going to pick up a spare battery when back in store

Yep I can testify to that. We have average sized gardens back and front and it did both on 1/3 of the batteries life (1 of the 3 LED’s didn’t light on the tester )
