I bought this earlier from my local b&q, seems quite cheap for a lithium powered screwdriver. Its also online so must be national.

Got two of these when we moved house to break down and rebuild certain bits of furniture - good for light duties but anything other than that they don't have the oompfh. Good for the price though and light work only, which most people will more than likely get them for anyway. Heat added.
I bought this when it was full price (30-35 i think) as i needed an electric screwdriver for building a breakfast bar with kitchen cabinet units. It has performed very well with decent battery life and enough power. I also built a large living room cabinet from ikea with it and also used it to drill in screws for installing roller blinds. It can handle drilling screws into wood fine. Anything more would require a power drill though.

Very good price for this item!
danke
For a fiver more you can buy a lithium battery one from LIDL it comes in its own case 3 year warranty and has screwdriver attachments I`m fairly sure they have them in at the moment

Could anyone recommend any good cordless screw driver abit more powerful than this? I got Bosch IXO one, I find it a bit weak for even DIY stuff.
I've collected a Bosch Ixo, an Aldi 4.8V and a Homebase 'Extreme' one over the last year or so, and they're all lacking in oomph. I finally came to the conclusion that anything in the 3.6V / 4.8V level is going to be pretty much rubbish for everything but light work. I'm currently using one of the B&Q McAllister 7.2V ones that I got in an offer a couple of months back, and it's been a breath of fresh air; so much more capable.
I've had one of these for 5 years, still works great. I used it earlier this year to remove about 120 decking screws, no problems! Maybe the latest ones aren't as good as mine, looks identical though.
Many thanks! Heat added

I was looking for McAllister you recommend. Can't find it on B&Q website anymore. Only 3.6V version is available.
Bought a couple of these for Xmas presents.... the actual item doesn't look like the ad on B&Q's website
