Nice find, but more for beard and body topiary than hair on your head.
Love hearts and Brazilians, yes.
Head hair cuts, no.

I just used this a few hrs ago for a haircut & I have quite thick hair. Did a fine job. Only complaint is that only 1 clip is suitable for a haircut, rest are for other purposes so would have been good to have few more clips to decide hair length.

You may have managed it, but it will blunt quicker, the blades aren't as strong or designed for head hair.

Atleast the packaging suggests otherwise. It clearly lists the 9mm attachment is named hair comb & smaller ones as beard combs, stubble combs, etc.
Whether the blades blunt, time will tell + 2 yrs worldwide guarantee + 1additional yr on registration. I’m not worried atleast to repeat haircuts.

Ok, my bad. I dont have this exact one - mine seems identical including the nose trimmer, etc., but only goes up to 5mm comb.
Great piece of kit. Had one for over 12 months and works a treat on my head.
When doing the research, I’ve generally found that the Philips and Braun hair clippers are prefixed with HC. Anything else won’t be suitable for clipping hair. BT - beard trimmer, MG - multi groom, etc. Also, the cheaper clippers seem to only clip 1-4 so need to look at how many mm the adjustments are

Head trimmer you'd recommend for under £40? Not sure I can wait another 6 weeks for a trim already been 2.5 months

I just ordered the set below from Amazon a few minutes ago as I was feeling same as you, can't wait any longer!

I'm not looking for the top of the range professional set but this has received good reviews and is very nicely priced so I'm giving it a go. There is another design available for £6 more (called Motor)! ?

This is the one I've had for a while now & would happily recommend if you can pick it up at a good price. It doesn't have the width of a normal set of hair clippers but you soon get the hang of it & it's a nice weight. Not sure of the lengths of the included combs as I've only ever done grades 1 & 2.

I have had this for 2 years and it's an excellent beard trimmer. I've only recently tried it out for hair and it's ok, but still worth it @ this price.

I've had this exact trimmer for around a year now. I use it for beard, body hair and my head and it's been absolutely fine.

I don't see why you think it's capable of beard hair, but not head hair? :/
i own this and mainly use it for my beard , but i been shaving my head and cutting my hair with it for the last two months and its been brilliant
i got super really thick hair too, so i dont know why people are dissing it.
Its got an attachment that lets you change the size
Cold, bought a while ago and it broke in a couple months
16hrs charge time sucks
I’m on my third. Garbage electrics. Great warranty.
I ordered this as it does larger cuts argos.co.uk/pro…524?clickSR=slp:term:hair%20clipper:1:53:1
Thanks for sharing.
Why will argos not deliver to me?

Back, sack and crack, then send it back?
16 hrs charge for 60 mins use?.....don't forget to charge it, would suck to run out half way. I'd go for the "Xiaomi" one posted for just under a tenner instead. Assuming a lithium ion battery there
Thanks for posting; we have added this to the Highlights section

You twisted my arm, i can't put up with my bonce anymore.. ordered, plus a hand mirror to see the back
I've got a similar model that charges via USB, came with 1mm, 3mm, 5mm and 7mm guards.
I use 1mm on my face, 3mm for manscaping. When lockdown kicked off I bought more guards online - a pack with 9mm, 12mm and 15mm. I'm using a 9mm back and sides and either 15mm or 12mm on top - great!
How can this be hot paid £17 not very long ago directly from Philips no delivery charges and got £1.67 Quidco

I imagine it has to do with people being desperate for a haircut and a lot of similar clippers/trimmers being out of stock. So rn this is a hotter deal than it usually would be

Apologies if this has already been said below. But I have basically the same Phillips trimmer to this and the instructions clearly say it is for bodily hair and not head hair which is a much thicker.

Definitely need hair clippers for your head I’m afraid. But I’d still recommend these Phillips ones for everything else
Bought the 9 in 1 set and few attachment's fell apart after 2 months
Managed to get a refund - wouldn't recommend
I have used this then bought a £30 rechargeable clipper from amazon which is ok but these seem better. If you have thin head hair like me these do the job well, the only issue is its small so you have to do several passes for your head if your cutting it yourself and dont want a patchy job. Works well with a bushy beard, but might want to look into the other size guards if you want to try to fade in a cut as the sizes included are 1,2,3,5 and 9mm

Please check your model#. This is about MG3720 which definitely has a clip for haircut - 9mm... there are many other model# with varying clips so be sure we are all talking abt the same one.

Would love to get the 12 & 15mm separately. 9mm is too close for my comfort, it’s ok now as I’m indoors but going forward wouldn’t want to do a 9mm all round & go out the next day

Can you link me to where I can get them? Will they be compatible with this Philips MG3720?
Thanks in advance.

Maybe depends on how thick your hair is? Did my full head the other day no problem.
Get the Phillips one which is always on here. Best trimmer I've used bar my Andis Pro styler 2. Very versatile and lasts a very long time

Search on eBay. Mine came from a seller in Greece. If you search the model number and 12mm 15mm should get a few options
