Note on the batteries I’m led to believe the battery is compatible with Worx tools, Screwfix’s older erbauer range and possibly Guild from Argos, hopefully others can confirm

Delivery isn't Free - coming up at £6.95 ?
Battery and charger to be purchased separately. But where ?
Seems like a good offer for the right kind of job. Be interested to know how much the batteries are. I have quite a large hedge row to keep on top of so find corded with a long extension reel my best option otherwise I’d definitely be needing more than the full charge of one battery for sure. I bought the Aldi corded long reach trimmer a year or so back and paid this amount reduced from £49. Good robust trimmer for the money but it’s quite a weight to swing about.
Reviews are terrible for the last long reach hedge trimmer.I am looking for a cordless one but ifear i will have to pay a few hundred for a decent machine.
Battery and charger sold seperately is annoying, but I am guessing it'll be compatible with battery and charger here ( aldi.co.uk/act…700) ???

Decent price though this if you already have a compatible battery to use with this.

On a personal note, I was also rather hoping they have a corded one at the special buy. Here's hoping screwfix will do another deal at £30 for the corded one again - hotukdeals.com/dea…152

Always thought these seem a bit dodgy.
the battery on the aldi site looks different to my worx powershare battery so I do not think its compatible with worx

Yeah, looking at the pictures on Aldi website this trimmer is using the Aldi Activ Energy batteries which is not compatible with Worx or Guild or Erbauer at all.

What a bargain! Oh wait, it doesn't work without power so let's call it £60 for the majority of us
Ok for a tall bush ?
40 Volts is the way to go now but tools are expensive.
This appears to use the 20v batteries (or double the runtime with the 40v in dual mode) - should be good enough for the average garden.

Thanks but I need a long reach one, will keep my eyes peeled.
Hmm... £66.95 to do one bush. Albeit one that thinks it's a tree.

Looks like I'll be gaffer taping the old hedgetrimmer to the end of the window washing pole.

Again.
