Corgi Ford Fiesta Mk1 XR2, Diamond White, LHD - Dutch £20.97 delivered @ Corgi

Scale: 1:43

Limited Edition: Yes

This model is supplied with Dutch language packaging and limited edition certificate.
Although referred to as the first global car from Ford, the Fiesta was initially only available in Europe with engines smaller than 1.3 litres.

The car was later fitted with the 1.6-litre 'Kent' engine to create a fun pocket rocket version. The car was lowered by 1 inch to stiffen the suspension and ventilated front disc brakes and low profile Pirelli tires. Sports seats, spoilers, lights and graphics made the XR2 just as good to look at as it was to drive!

That just brought back memories. I had an XR2i company car along with a pager and a brick of a mobile phone.

Damn you now I've got car nostalgia! Must resist Auto trader!

oo and that's a Ford capri above it, that gives me nostalgia of sitting in my dad's car when I was a kid.

Question is, how much would a lease be?

I'm still paying my first xr2i off.

oh wow i had one in sunburnt red/orange it was.
fantastic!!

Same here !

Says £15.99 now?

Still think you're better buying a second hand motor rather than these leases but I'm sure I'll be called a troll for that.

Might have to vote cold, no info on how many miles per annum or what happens when you give it back....:p

I had the mk2 xr2,loved it,would keep up with anything at the time.pepper pot alloys and go faster stripes.happy days

Cold, cheaper on lease

Didn't even think corgi still existed.

Can I get it on PCH lease?

Great price, my Ottomodel Renault 5 GT Turbo cost me £70!

One of least cool deals I've seen on here for ages. I haven't seen one of these cars on the road for years, hope they all went to the scrap yard, dreadful looking car. Nothing classic about it.

Thanks ordered a couple of ford models

Insert lease joke here

Grow up......... It's a toy car!! oO oO

I miss my XR3i cabriolet

If only they had the mk2 available

With delivery milage?

I remember a friend of mine having this exact white, non-"i" model, back in the day.

I seem to remember the clutch in it bein very, VERY, heavy. Was THE car to have back then ....

(I had to make do with a scabby mk.1 Micra being a poor student)

mate, your friend must have been very small.

oldskool, like it!

No mention of the iconic Pepperpot alloys WTF !!
The local hoodlums used to charge £50 quid a set round our way

The MK 1 was a decent motor, but the new models fly !!

........so, for that reason, I'm out !

It might be cheaper to buy the actual car

Brings back memories of my first car. Not an XR2 but the Supersport from 1980. It's a 1.3 but was looks awfully similar apart from the alloys. It was used to get a feel for demand before the XR2 was rolled into production a year later. This isn't my car, just a sample image.

They didn't make an XR2i until the Mk3 in 1989 so even a rich student couldn't have a Mk1 XR2i.

Classic mk2 XR2 in white please!

PLEASE NOTE LHD rhd oos.
Well mine was nearly always and the right (wrong) side of the road as road handling was.........well a bit of a challenge with those 185's on!
