Corn on the cob at Lidl 4 for £1

It's British and still has the ears on which makes for great tasting corn on the cob :-)

Enjoy.

I should mention I've seen this deal at several Scottish stores, perhaps someone can let us know if it's the same in England and Wales.

Whitby store have these at 10p each weirdly...

4 for £1 in asda too

Are these the slightly irradiated ones the legitimate supermarkets won't buy or the normal ones?

great price,

Fantastic price. Hot

If you have not tried it yet i would give corn tempura (http://www.globalgourmet.com/food/cookbook/2009/japanese-pub-cookbook/corn-tempura.html#axzz1XBltnqMc) a go as it is lovely or simply boil and then fry the cob in a frying pan in butter and soy sauce...wicked

Same price as the Birmingham Markets, hot!

10p each in Thornaby LIdl as well

Its the same in England. Seen this at my local in Kingston Upon Thames and also in Mitcham on my way to work

A tip for you,When selecting make sure the end bit is wet, that means it's sweet

Check this out:
One of the definitions for cob simply is: corncob. The cob is the part of the corn that is not edible.
