They have ceased production, due to silly associations with the virus. …They have ceased production, due to silly associations with the virus. Corona is Spanish for crown.

Only shut down as the Mexican gov deem the production of beer is non essential

They ceased production because it was seen as a non-essential service. Not because of association of the virus.

Love corona me, genuinely

Please note, I mean the beer, slice of lime, fantastic.
Go corona.
Sol is nicer.
There must be mountains of this stuff knocking around the UK as whilst alcohol sales generally have shot up the GP have generally avoided this particular band.

Pretty sure this is slightly less than £14 in our Aldi, seen to remember my partner's son saying he paid £13.99 for a case of this and a pack of chewing gum

yes and the virus has the same meaning due to it being crown shaped.
Just spoke to the missis and she said it was cheaper earlier in the week but it had gone up to £14 when she was in there yesterday
Hopefully this will be the only case of Corona I get

Which has what to do with why the beer ceased production?
Mods won't permit me to post the survey that said Americans are refusing to buy this brand due to the name, so you will have to search it out yourselves.

Plus the fact that they've lost $130m so far due to the lost sales. If people aren't buying then there's no point in making it.
Just waiting to see if this goes viral

Drink 18 bottles of this in one sesh and comparably the virus will be a walk in the park.

I posted a comment about people linking this brand to the virus and it got removed for being "off topic"!

Great deal, by the way

Never found it so awkward carrying a corona case
Good deal. Corona used to taste better when it was Mexican and not a multi-national conglomerate. Anyway, FIRE!
Same price as Sainsbury, but heat added as good deal

I buy foreign beer, £1.59 for 8.5% Oranjeboom and £1.59 for 9% Karpackie. So if all the UK plants stopped producing wouldn't make any difference whatsoever.

Well it would when everyone else that drinks the mass manufactured British stuff can’t get it and buys all the oranjeboom and karpackie instead!;)
Support them. Nice drink hope they don't go bust.
Worst beer on the planet.. Soda water tastes better..
Ive got 24 bottles in my cupboard from xmas. Totally forgot about them. Best before 28th of march. They safe to drink you think?

They will be safe to drink in March 2021, but they will slowly start to lose a bit of flavour, but that’s about it
