Corona has been brewed and bottled in Mexico since 1925. It is lighter than traditional beers, with a crisp and refreshing taste. The aroma is fruity-honey with a touch of malt and the flavour is crisp and well-balanced between hops and malt, toward the malt side. Whatever the time of year, Corona is best served ice cold ad with a wedge of lime, that both complements and intensifies the flavour. Corona's superior taste profile is due to the fact that our brewers take great care to use only the best ingredients available, made with the finest quality blend of filtered water, malted barley, hops, corn and yeast.

Well I for one am most impressed by this display of manliness and swagger, based solely on the alcoholic content of a beverage - which as we all know is far more important than flavour, aroma, texture, or appearance.

Same price per bottle (66p) as the 18 for £12 offer, on until recently? Picked a couple of boxes up a couple of weeks ago.

£9.90 in Scotland

I noticed that too... The minimum price would be £8.91... And that's what I thought Asda would be charging but they obviously want to make another £0.99 😞

What’s wrong with Cathay
"Lime to intensify the flavour". Utter bull. I have been to mexico, many times and to the Modelo place that the make the stuff - the lime is to keep the flies off beer, the fact that it tastes decent is a bonus

That’s interesting. Presumably the flies still walk all over the lime? But I suppose that’s better than a dead one in the top of your bottle...

Insects hate citronella and citrus aromatics, which lime is full of. They steer well clear!

D’oh, of course. Thanks!
I thought the lime was to hide the skunky taste of the beer because of light exposure due to the clear bottle. Try Pacifico it's not in a clear bottle and tastes great even without a lime. The best one though is probably Negra Modelo which since all Mexican beer was made by German immigrants is actually a Marzen lager, i.e. Octoberfest beer.

Yes, it's due to the clear bottles they use and the extreme sun and heat over there. They add lime to give a better taste. Read an article on it years ago.
Light damages beer or "skunks" it. But lime won't do a damn thing to help that. Its the flies i tell ya!
Was 18 for £12 for so long
Well, in Mexico we don't put limes on it. It is just unnecessary and the flavour of the beer is affected

That's good, because Corona has none of those things either

You haven't been to Wetherspoon's on a Saturday night then. People get 2 for £5 and think they're the bee's knees.

No, it would be the psychological effect of holding a bottle and drinking alcohol. Just ask Dominic.

£9.90 if you live in scotland heat anyway
Corona Extra? Extra Bland more like! AM I RITE?

Cold because it tastes like watery nonsense. Buy the dry hopped pilsner from Aldi, 4 cans for £2.50, works out cheaper, tastier, and when you pour it into a glass so you don't look like an 18 year old on a night out, no one can tell what it is and where it came from.

Thanks for patronising us by letting us know what beer we should be buying. I'm very surprised to hear you know precisely how my taste buds interpret taste, and what my personal preferences are.

The chap's username accidentally changed a 'k' to a 'g', so we should have known what to expect...

I'm sorry, you're right, £2/litre for flavourless mass produced lager that requires a wedge of citrus fruit to be palatable is a bargain, I'll vote hot.
Does anyone know when this rollback offer expires? Unlike their competitors, their website doesn't list the end date of promotions
