I read just 6 months somewhere, but dont quote me on that xxxx

I think that this is the old Coronation Street set which is no longer in use - Corrie moved to it's new set recently at MediaCity in Salford. That won't matter to real fans but be aware you probably won't be bumping into any of the Corrie cast!

It is only open for about six months. Yes it is the old one no longer used as they are now in Salford. We went when it was at Granada

I would like to go but (apart from the distance as we are in Scotland!) I just worry that it might destroy some illusions for me and that I wouldn't think of the street in the same way any more. I've watched Coronation Street forever, and never miss an episode, so I don't think I'll chance it - I prefer to think it's (almost) real and that Rita, Emily, Deirdre and co all actually live there!

I went to Granada Studios when I was a kid and remember being very disappointed that when I looked through the letterboxes of the houses and the Rovers that there was nothing in them!

Went when it was Granada when it was packed and also when it was in the decline and it was empty. It was great as they had a simulator ride, good if you like Corrie and it seems you get more of a tour of the Corrie bits

This offer going from all the North East as well. It is £79 on a Saturday and £69 on a Tuesday and if you can bide your time National Holidays have a 10% day where you can book any holiday the next month and get 10% off so you could get it for £62.10. Also if you can wait till within 7 days of going sometimes they have £10 off. This includes the coach, hotel, entrance fee, breakfast and evening meal. I go on these holidays with National all the time and you cannot beat them for value for money.

Try booking any of those departure points and you'll only get to choose from Fosse Park Avenue, Leicester, Loughborough and Northampton at the booking stage. They don't seem to accept people travelling on their own either.
