Wow! hot!

Hmmm....MyMemory seem to be a bit confused about what they are selling. Picture shows a 'standard' Corsair Flash Voyager, but description is of the Voyager GT, which is a much superior beast. £21.99 is a very good deal for a 32Gb 'standard' Voyager, but not enough to get over the fact that it is 'refurbished' i.e. not new, IMO. £21.99 for a Voyager GT would be really amazing as the GT is one of the fastest flash drives money can buy (19-20Mb/s write & 25-30Mb/s read speed) and normally sells for around 3 times this amount. But which is it?

call me a cynic, but I strongly suspect it is the 'standard' version, with a write speed of around 6Mb/s and a read speed of around 15Mb/s - and second hand into the bargain, in which case you'd probably be better buying this from 7dayshop:

7dayshop.com/cat…303

....few pounds more, but it's both new and faster.

Refurbished flash drive....wtf???

'A fantastic price. It is a refurbished item but I'm sure these are wel; rugged items.'
Begs the question why they would need refurbishing in the first place if they are so rugged - there seem to be a hell of alot of these flash voyagers for sale (and some have been posted before) that have been refurbished, doesn't fill me with confidence when storing any data on it.

WOW...Its a bargain at that price

hot, heat added,

Price hot but what does it mean refurbished ?

I think you're right, the product code on the page is CMFUSB2.0-32GB/RF which refers to the regular Voyager version.

voted cold for all the confusion. Mainly due to the retailer being misleading.

it may be refurb'd but corsair still gives a lifetime gurantee dont they ?

Damn, thats a good price!

rash

Damn, thats a good price!

But is it?
The product code compared to the item description seems to be (deliberately?) miss leading customers into thinking they are getting the more expensive item, which they clearly are not.
Voted cold - far to ambiguous, and probably for a good reason......

You are getting a reputable drive at less than £1/Gb what you expect. I remember I bought a Freecom for £89 for 2Gb, five years ago and it is still running perfectly. So speed is not everything!!!!

If it is basic model of Voyager version, what is the write/read speed please? If it is a lot faster than other flash drive, I would definitely buy one despite it is not GT version.

Cold. Pretty sure MyMemory are still selling a 32GB USB stick for £20, and that's a new product too. These will all be warranty returns.

These are really quick and may well be rugged on the outside but these don't really last long even if you don't use them very regularly

Pretty quick drive.

I've had to send a 8gb back not so long ago for a warranty replacement. It's the only one out if many that i own that has become faulty.

Had 25+ different types of flash memory, never had one go faulty. If it did go faulty I'd never use it again, personally would steer well clear of a faulty/refurbished memory stick

they lost a sale due to their payment portal sucking DB refusing 2 perfectly fine debit/credit cards, also emailed them to mention they need to stop trying to sell gear with the wrong description.

I am also pleased it was refused as refurbished is not really at this moment in time worth £21.99 non gt version, they have already been fixed once under warranty.

Crap, would of had one if I'd had seen it sooner, looks expired now

The manufacturer repairs it. Refurbished is not second hand.
