what was it like to build with? built a full size ATX in a low end NZXT case for someone else last year that was ok. Considering doing one for myself and like the idea of something this size but not if it's a nightmare to fit it all in.

I did build a shuttle years ago mind !

It's a decent size matx. I can't see many issues even with a large gpu. It didn't fit my 280mm radiator of my kraken x61 which was a shame. The newer version up from this did.

It was quite ok actually. A colleague at work showed it to me (he bought it a few weeks before me) and that is when I started looking at it. I've done it myself (first time when I've built a full PC) and it ended up nicely.
I've used this website to look at what others have done with it and ended up quite nicely : Air 240
It is very well designed and that helps a lot.

Mine looks similar to this one (but with a lot of dust on top - Note to myself: I have to take a better care of my computer):

Actually I think mine it is a bit better
I've just removed the cover and made a picture - there will be some dust inside but please excuse that for the moment.

The owner of that system needs to rotate that radiator 180°. The tubes should be coming out the bottom otherwise after a while air will be drawn into and circulated by the pump which is never good. It'll only get worse over time due to permutation.

I did my best 2 years ago and it hasn't failed so far. So please don't lose a night sleep over this. I don't want to be responsible for that. Thanks

Out of interest, Is that the case for both examples?

Yes.

Just a suggestion for people getting this case: it is better suited for air cooling that water or AIOs. will also be a bit cheaper going air.

Was tempted but unfortunatly it has no drive bays.

I was thinking at the same thing before I bought it but then I realised I'm not using my CD/DVD drive that must anyway and if I have to use one, I will just buy an USB one (£20). 2 years later I still haven't had a need to use one so I still don't have one. My 2 pennies..

Great case! Mine:

I'd expect it to be pretty much the same size inside as the NZXT case, corsair's cases are huge.

This'll be nothing like a case designed for compactness like the shuttle, the equivalent in this sort of shape would be a Cooltek Coolcube Maxi or similar which is a good 10cm shorter and shallower.

That's the ATX version mate, this is the 240.

Sadly, I do use mine. I have a DVD Ram drive a DVD/CD writer drive a Blu ray drive & by today's standards a slow USB/multi card slot reader/writer.

Great looking case and enjoyed everyones cases so far. I decided against this when I went ITX Node but seeing how this is reduced and the amount of space for water cooled looks too tempting!

Lovely case! I've got a Kraken X31 routed through a cable hole to the side panel.
The only issue is that wider GPUs can have their PCIE power cables press against the side panel. I couldn't fit the EVGA 1080 FTW in for that reason, had to send it back. But as you can see it accommodates a 1080 Ti just fine.

Yeah great case. I have Air 240 for a year now. But the one you showed on the pics is AIR 540. Bigger version of this one.
I can say few things about air 240:
1. Great for cooling (low temps on i7 with Phanteks low profile cooler).
2. Need to be careful with both gpu width and cpu cooler height as it takes max 12cm.
My gtx 1070 sc from evga fits fine.
3.Plenty of space for routing cables, 2 cages for hard drives etc.
4.After 12 months there was no dust on cpu cooling and on the fan. I was shocked. Not even a bit. And the fan is solid white and cooler fins are black.
Really well designed case with great filters.

I got this a few months ago, and got a cheap 1060 which i added an Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo 2 GPU HSF.
Strictly, it was too tall for the case, however its quite easy to change the side so that you put the perspex window on the outside of the case, rather than how it comes (on the inside) with a little glue. This provides about an extra 2 cm of clearance, and was enough for my Arctic Cooling.

Thanks guys for pointing out mine (above) is the bigger model. I hadn't realised. Great case though

I've got the larger case.

But if build quality is similar, this will be a nice case. Reviews on Amazon are good, for this model and all tbh.

540 model is well chunky!! Put mine on a lazy susan for £8.99! just so I can easily get access to back and sides of case...
