RAM prices are going up, not only that the exchange rate is causing prices to increase also.

This is £56.99 for 2 x 8gb, despatched in 1 to 2 months (Amazon say this a lot for RAM and always honour it I've found).

They want £51.57 for 1 x 8gb of the same RAM...

Thanks op. Not expecting to build a new pc for at least 6 months, but with the way the ££ is going, I can see this (and others) will increase in the coming months.

MUCH cheaper than ddr3 now

Cold. Tried to RMA some Corsair RAM this year. "Lifetime warranty" became 30 day warranty after replacement that was only 3 months old. Be warned. I'm pretty sure you can't do this either but they do.

Nice to know, but not sure what's this got to do with price of petrol!

Corsair's website says "Any repaired or replacement hardware will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or thirty (30) days, whichever is greater, or for the period of time required by local statute."

This would imply your memory replacement should also have a lifetime warranty. I'm not sure what happened but you ought to try again. I've never had a problem with Corsair's RMA service.

Also wether you want it or not doesn't mean it's not a hot deal. This price is amazing. I'm unsure about the delivery situation though.

Sorry, it was a bit sarcastic.

You've voted cold for a bad experience rather than a good deal. Just my saying what has that got to do with deal itself.

Aha I see. Sorry I thought this was common practice to vote cold something where the company sucks (ok in my opinion) im kinda new here.

Some great deals just go cold for no reason, no animals harmed in this process

Voted cold due to your own experience and left a post as to why you voted cold. Everything seems in order to me

That makes no sense?

You should take it up with the retailer that supplied you the item, they will replace it.

How do you mean 'honour it'? Do you they dispatch it quicker if you contact them?

I mean they will despatch it eventually and not claim a "misprice". They will not despatch it quicker if you contact them.

Although I have done this well.... a lot of times... I can tell you their estimated dates are usually longer than it takes. Usually doesn't take that long.

Hot!!!

Big fan of Corsair products. I built my PC 4 years ago, using Corsair PSU and ram. Not once did they fail me both. Now I am upgrading my pc. I am going to keep my case, Corsair 500r, still a great room case, even added a mod acrylic to the panel.

Few weeks ago, there was a deal with the 240GB Samsung SSD from Amazon which I brought and just bought this as well. I don't mind the ram/ssd has 2 months delivery because if I find something cheaper, I can cancel the deal.

Also this has to be the cheapest price for this model, this is selling for £79.99 at Currys, £95 @ SCAN, and £90 @ Novatech, so a saving of at least £24, great find.

Now all is left me to buy, is i5 CPU, mobo, gpu and 3tb HD. I know there could be better deals at christmas or black friday, but with the pound rate falling, not sure about the savings, but at least this way I can cancel if I find a better deal. Any Heat!!!

So, found the link you gave, a bit confusing. Is it showing that prices are going up....... and most of the pc components price won't come down due to the pound value not be great as of right now.

Chart on the lower left hand corner

but yes when you consider previously:

£50 = $75

and now:

£50 = $61.50

It doesn't help!

Oh right, yes, I noticed that before, Pound to USD is really bad. My uncle is coming to the UK for a week, I was going to ask him to get me a few components but realise, there is no point when the difference won't be much. That's why I think there won't be much savings. Also, the news are showing the companies want to hike the prices up, last time was Unilever, this time is Nestle. Which is why, I am grabbing the rare deal as they come.

It is fine, user experience is a huge part of the product.
