What you want is a node core which comes included in the 3 pack of Corsair RGB fans along with the nzxt 5 port usb 2.0 header hub.
Just use a few pwm fan splitters, all modern boards can cope with 3-4 fans per pwm header.
Strangely, a much tidier less cluttered cable spaghetti too at the end of it. No fan control in icue but the fan control in icue is worse than trash anyway. (edited)
Also of note comes up highly commended in every fan controller review, so much more likely user error here (edited)
Just in case anyone wants to know how:
Click your Commander Pro. Click Performance. Click the +.
Adjust your custom curve to your liking. Set it to the GPU or one of the thermal sensors if you hooked those up to the Commander Pro.
Hold CTRL and select your fans #1 through #6 to apply the curve to them.
