Crap price for 32GB

After a windows install, and you programs such as office, photoshop etc, you won't have an awful lot of room for games! Bear in mind some games are circa 10GB in size.

Forget it.

quite right. Perfect upgrade for a HTPC accessing all media from a NAS. Might treat myself to one for my revo.....

cheaper elsewhere and for another £10+ you can get a faster 60-64GB
For example this has 195MB/s Read, 70MB/s write

Kingston 64GB SSDNOW V100 - SATA-II 2.5" - Read 250MB/s Write 145MB/s £75.11inc vat at ebuyer

Seems rather a luxury to use an SSD in that way! I don't think it would give that much of a performance gain in that situation.

Why do people care about boot times so much? Has everyone got ADD these days?
Have you tried putting the mrs in standby instead? A pint of Baileys works well.

Have you tried buying in bulk?
If you have an SSD in the HTPC I'm curious what your desktop PC is like?

lol nothing ott considering the use it gets.
it's got a 4 (250GB) RAID array 1+0, cpu is c2d [email protected] 4GB DDR3 Gigabyte P35 board and an ASUS GTX260,
but the htpc is used for everything TV, music etc so i only have the one box(apart from amp) under the TV.

Not many people use RAID 1+0 so I was right you do have something unusual.

true, but that's because most people prefer cheap over speed and data integrity, was lucky though managed to get the 4 new drives for 80 off avforums.;)
