Black Friday officially starts tomorrow on Amazon, so is this an example of the discounts to come in the next week?
Also, are people buying anything today or waiting for tomorrow.
Heat added btw

It is possible however most NVMe SSD's run quite 🔥 🔥 even the Samsung 970. There are heatsinks available for them but I'm not sure how practical they are.

Bought 970 from Scan that come with free heatsink.
Before and after temps show the damned thing works.. a bit. Heatsink is ribbed for my pleasure!

Was there enough space with the heatsink on to install the ssd into a laptop?

Most laptops won't have space for any heatsink that is worth considering. And even then the ones that do won't have any airflow to dissipate the heat so best to assume not.
But if the laptop has a M.2 2280 slot then it would seem it is designed to run them and should be fine.
It's Amazing the list of tuppence laptops that can fit NVMe, I wouldn't put a cheap Acer through that sort of extra temp, heat spreader or not.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Though most people look to adequately cool theirs using their Legs and Pods (good-bye swimmers)..
