Seems a good price for a RGB keyboard from a decent brand.

  • Rubber dome keys
  • Multi color per key backlighting with three levels of illumination
  • Six dedicated macro keys
  • 36KB of onboard memory
  • Seven easy-access multimedia keys (STOP, PREVIOUS, PLAY/PAUSE, NEXT, MUTE, VOLUME UP & DOWN)
  • Windows Lock key for uninterrupted game play

Is this mechanical?

This keyboard pretends to be mechanical and fails at it, I had one for a few months but some of the keys were so hard to press down that it made touch typing a massive pain, sometimes a key wouldn't even press down on initial push causing me to not move at the right time in a game, the software for its lighting was last updated in 2013 and looks really tacky too, but at least it still works for now.

I really wouldn't recommend this unless you like a quick onset of finger fatigue when typing, maybe I had a dodgy one but at any rate my experience with the K40 was far from stellar.

I know I was Gunna add it to the deal but I thought it was even worth posting after that. So I deleted this deal and it got reposted
Think some people get it free though for making comments on there forums or I'm getting mixed up.

It can be worth the investment in time with Overclockers to do the forum account posts requirement for free delivery. Helps with they occasionally have good deals.

You're correct. I don't know what the criteria for it is at the moment, but I know mine that I set up ages ago and haven't used since is still valid. Worth it, otherwise most of their 'deals' become out right terrible.

Cheers for clearing this up

This is a fabulous keyboard. I have had one for >1 year and use it for work and gaming. I paid a looott more for it, so hot.

It is not mechanical, but has a great response for a rubber dome keyboard. The software and recordable keys are pretty useful at times as well, nothing flash though.
