Great power supplies, but I don't know any people who are excited about building a new system and happy to wait 1-4 weeks for a critical component! I paid about £100 for mine from Amazon Warehouse next day delivery and £102 for an RM1000i. They also had the AX760 for £98 before - just saying it's worth waiting as in that 4 weeks better things may turn up

You can always cancel if you find something better - this after all might be an upgrade for people rather than a new build. My ThermalTake 850w PSU is getting on for about 8 years old now and its never skipped a beat but I probably think about replacing it at some point as that is a long time for a high power component!

In the event anyone does need this quickly, eBuyer have matched it and its in stock: ebuyer.com/724…wcB

Does anyone else any other full modular / similar wattage alteratives out there?

Well for starters there is a 'used - like new' RM850x available at Amazon for £92.15 available for next day shipping. I know Amazon Warehouse can be variable but never had any real issues with them - there was one time where I was missing a couple of the modular cables and they refunded me 50% of the total order, so I don't really mind.

Also, I've been totally put of Ebuyer because of that picture that went round showing them being incentivised to reject RMAs, as well as a while ago when I did RMA something and they kept 40% of the value due to 'depreciation' even though it was faulty. I couldn't be bothered to argue with them but Amazon it just wouldn't happen like that...

I wonder if the 10yr Corsair warranty would be honored on a "used - like new" Amazon warehouse item.

Only one of the two Amazon invoices you can downloaded mentions that they aren't new so from that point of view the manufacturer will have no idea.
Provided the original purchaser didn't register it with the manufacturer I see no reason why you wouldn't be covered.
Wow 10 year warranty! I was impressed by EVGA's 7 year warranty but I may reconsider.

pretty sure it should be. I got a crazily cheap R9 Fury (£120) through Amazon warehouse but it arrived faulty but Amazon were brilliant. XFX (manufacturer) took the RMA, but I had to send it to Netherlands, but Amazon, to their credit, even covered the return postage for it so net result was a (reasonably) high end GPU for £120 though I had to wait a good couple of months for the terribly slow RMA process but still well worth it.

RM series is 3 year. I think my HX is 7 and AX is 10 but not sure. As a retailer Amazon is far better though, so I will always go with them

That is sickeningly good! I thought I did well getting an R9 Nano for £200 from CeX...

10 years according to this corsair.com/en-…psu

I bought an AX1200i 2nd hand on ebay, got deal on it, but failed after 6 months, so I read the warranty statement properly and discovered that warranty is not transferable in UK . I would be a bit leery about picking up 2nd hand PSU's now as I tend to work them quite hard and I prefer the thought of a good long warranty (even though it remains to be seen if a 10 year warrenty is worth the paper its written on...)

You're quite right. I think I was looking at a slightly older 'Gold label' RM series PSU which only had 3, or maybe I meant the CS series. We have so many computers in the office doing many things I often lose track what has what... but all I am sure of now is I've never been more sold on having a high-quality branded power supply in the first place with good 80 Plus certification, it seems to have eliminated many of the irritating computer faults - in fact I'm pretty sure the HX1000i prevented a catastrophic failure by cutting power to the rails the other day (I then reset the computer and a red hot lump of metal/spark flew out the back of a GPU).

When you say, work the computers hard you wouldn't be mining or folding would you
