Bought my strafe RGB from here as a Refurb. Came as new, decent price for this board if you are after a ten keyless.

Yeah second hand keyboards... I know what I do at mine, so I'll pass.

Plus, mandatory downvote for scan.
I bought a K70 RGB Lux refurbished from Scan a few weeks ago:

- Next day delivery
- Immaculate (as good/clean as new and I am picky!)
- All the extra keys/puller included
= very happy!
It's only when you shine a black-light torch on it, you discover you've bought the special limited edition Jackson Pollock variant.

Same as me when I bought my Strafe RGB Refurb from them. You wouldn't be able to tell that it wasn't brand new.

I'm pretty sure the keyboards will be cleaned during the refurbishment process.
Have mine and a black light you want a photo?
I bought a refurbished K70 Red with brown switches from scan a few years ago and apart from the slightly drab brown box, the keyboard itself was absolutely immaculate. Came with a set of replacement keys for WASD and 1-6 keys and key tool all sealed. It was basically brand new as far as I can tell. It's still going 2 years later (surviving 3 house moves after retiring as my work keyboard for 6 months). Metal chassis means they're an absolute tank. Can't recommend this brand of keyboards highly enough. I've tried Duckys, DAS, Razer you name it, and they all pale in comparison to the K range of keyboards by Corsair for the money.

You will only ever need to buy one mechanical keyboard. However as this is a reconditioned one then the previous owner must have been unfortunate.

Once you have used one you wouldn't willingly go back to a membrane keyboard.

This is dirt cheap for a mechanical that's worth buying. There are plenty of cheap mechanicals off the slow boat from China for less money, but rarely will you find one with the same build quality as the K series from Corsair. There are better keyboards out there, sure. But not many at this price point.

Tell that to my K70 that has developed horrible key chatter.
Looks like they have the better Rapidfire version available too for £64.99

You’ll be needing one of these if you’ve not got one already then 😜

Does it prevent the keys from sticking?...

It doesn’t clarify....it does say it’s good for a pretty high number of strokes though

thats whats tempting me the price & the multi colours go with my Logitech G403 Mouse & just want one to match the mouse changing colours & good for typing on ect so im tempted to grab this like
just noticed it dont have a number pad at the end like im used to

They have plenty of corsair Refurbs that do. The strafe rgb or K70 rgb keyboards are only around £10 more, both have a Num Pad.
i have this keyboard. its really good. after 6 months one of the keys is a different colour from the rest but i bought it from maplins, rekt. doesnt bother me though. plays awesome.

Are these really worth the money compared to a £30 RGB Corsair?

Depends if you have ever used a mechanical keyboard before. If you have only used a membrane keyboard then you won't know any different. If you have ever used a mechanical keyboard then you wouldn't need to ask that question
Agree about mechanical keyboards being great - just be aware they can be a bit noisy which isn't for everyone.

I had a Corsair refurb headset and it's as new, so their process is good.

Depends on the switches - MX Reds on this are pretty quiet as mechs go. You get a bit of a bottoming out noise as on all mechs but that can also be addressed with silicon o rings if desired.

Bought a k70 refurbished as well and haven't seen any issues so far after 6 months would say this is a safe bet
Not to do with this deal per-se but if anyone is looking for a pretty decent but budget mechanical keyboard, I can recommend this one. My previous keyboard was a hyper x alloy and I honestly prefer this @ £27. Mechanical Gaming Keyboard LED Backlit - Hcman Wired Keyboard Blue Switches 9 Backlight Modes,Metal Plate 100% Anti-ghosting for Computer PC & Mac Gamers (Black) amazon.co.uk/dp/…444
No numpad
These are red switches which have completely smooth presses until they bottom out with no noise or feedback at the point the keypress registers. They don't click but there is a loud clack as the keys hit bottom that's louder the heavier you are on the keys. If you're really heavy on them you can almost feel like you're bruising your fingertips so if you're a heavy typist cushioning them or going for a different switch type may be advisable

Even a review which gives the logitech a good rating recommends the Corsair over it. The mechanical keyboard will be better if you are a touch typist as it will put less pressure on your finger joints.

Don't buy one of these things. I bought a refurb K60 from Scan that failed after 2 years and Corsair flat out refused to do anything about it. For a £70 keyboard I consider that to be unacceptable personally. You might as well just get a Chinese mechanical keyboard from Amazon for half the price.

I bought a k60 from them many years ago, I passed it down to my cousin and it still works great, my cousin the got a k70 lux but scan replaced it quickly

thats not bad but its not RGB which is the multi colour version i like but i think il either stick with the cheap keyboard i bought in maplins when closing down or pick one of the corsairs when they get to my biting point though ive noticed there is several different versions like the cherry or the brown bit but cant tell the differences
