I'm typing on this very board ordered a fortnight ago from Argos on eBay.

Cherry Red mechanical keys are nice to type on but are NOT quiet in reality. Seriously - it makes you wonder what other Cherry keys must be like.

Lovely board though - the LED customisation is excellent (per key, groups, profiles etc) and while I use this for work on dim back light, colleagues have complimented the board a few times already. Wouldn't leave it on max brightness in the workplace - I'd look a bit too nerdy even for my liking!

I paid £56.69 so this is a really good price compared to Amazon.

If you don't like the noise you can get silent versions of Reds and Blacks - cherrymx.de/en/…tml

Personally I like the noise they make but If you share a room with someone I can see how it would be annoying.

I am tempted by this, I would prefer brown switches and a more compact form factor is my only issue but can't argue with the price. Good spot OP.

It won't do wonders, but if you want to make the keys sligthly quieter you can try picking up some O-rings which are very easy to slide on the stems of the keycaps (careful with the space bar though, some can be really difficult to put back on due to the stabilizer wire connecting the sides, and might not be worth removing). It makes the landing a bit "mushier" and slightly shortens the travel distance.

Not endorsing but example product, amazon.co.uk/DRE…CP/

I'm fine with the noise - they don't clack but aren't silly quiet either.

Will see how I go - if people moan it might be useful at the same time!

And soldering them all would be horrendous!
