Can you explain the difference / benefits?
Best I could get out of this is CL16 3600mhz after using the Ryzen dram calculator (on my 3700x) however I didn't really try too much, sure I could get a better combo but CL16 3600mhz is a very good sweet spot for Ryzen 3rd gen so I didn't bother.

I am no expert and my laymans explanation will never get across the full meaning - the link below is probably the most well written description of speed vs latency which should give you some understanding above whatever I could relay.

That being said - in the real world and with normal day to day tasks you will be hard pushed to tell the difference between ram unless you are using ram performance tools so it really wont matter what you get.
