Reduced again, was previously £84.99. 1TB seems to be the sweet spot these days for NVMe and this Corsair has great performance. Comes fitted with a heat sink that can be removed, unsure if this will fit PS5 as not all Corsair NVMe drives do.

Current price means this is cheaper than the MP600 non pro.

  • Extreme Gen4 Storage Performance on PS5: Expand your PS5 storage capacity with a PCIe Gen4 x4 SSD that delivers up to 7,100MB/sec sequential read and 6,800MB/sec sequential write speeds.
  • High-speed PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 NVMe 1.4 Interface: Using PCIe Gen4 technology for maximum bandwidth, the MP600 PRO LPX delivers incredible storage performance.
  • Gaming Made Faster: The MP600 PRO LPX exceeds all Sony PS5 M.2 performance requirements, so large game files load faster than ever, directly from the SSD.
  • Pre-Installed Low-Profile Aluminum Heatspreader: Helps disperse heat and reduce throttling, so your SSD maintains sustained high performance right out of the box.
  • International products have separate terms, are sold from abroad and may differ from local products, including fit, age ratings, and language of product, labeling or instructions.

2nd picture seems to imply it is suitable for PS5

Agreed, and the description states optimised for PS5 so it would be silly if it didn't fit but I didn't want to commit as I don't have that drive, I have an older MP600 Pro ... I don't have PS5 either

While that is true, and the plain MP600 is a lot slower, it does have three times the endurance as 1,800TB vs 700TB
If even Corsair can be believed to be able to keep track of their MP600 revisions:
    corsair.com/eu/…600
    corsair.com/eu/…plp

    Pick your poison:
    7100MB/5800 speeds vs 4950/4250
    700TB vs 1,800TB.

For write heavy loads the plain is probably the better pick. For everyone else: 700TB per TB should be fine and is still better most Samsungs (600TB except the old 970 Pro which had 1,200TB)

Does anyone know how this compares to the "SAMSUNG MZ-V8P1T0CW 980 PRO with Heatsink PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD -1TB" posted on here a couple of days ago. The Cosair sounds like it's faster but I'm not really tech savvy so I have no idea!
