I saw this today, tried the keyboard and ugh...

The reason I was in there was to try the Logitech G910 which was still ugh but better. This is the problem when you've been using the same keyboard for 14 years!

What I'm saying is go into Currys and test the KBs before you commit on this level of spend.
Clearly aimed at the Christmas present crowd. Nothing "pro" or even good about the features or performance of any of the bundle items.
Not mechanical? Gotta vote cold...
Too bad not a mechanical switches. If k70 would be great!!!!

Great Christmas present for someone in a desperate need of an upgrade. The only downside is the keyboard membrane caps but even then there better than a normal keyboard. Might get myself one and put it under the tree

That's a great starter bundle for those looking to build a gaming system!
Word of caution, I had this keyboard, the driver is flaky - it kicked me out of online games (notably Rainbow Six Siege)
Wired.... is this the 90s?

Really? A mechanical keyboard alone would cost considerably more than this. It's a decent deal for what it is. Anyone expecting mechanical at that price, with a mouse and headset included, is deluding themselves.

If a K70 was included then it would have sold out in minutes for that price

Whilst I agree this is a decent deal, it’s simply wrong to say that a mechanical keyboard alone costs more than £99, let alone ‘considerably more’.

You're right. A decent mechanical keyboard will cost over £100 though. I'm sure there's a few cheap outliers worth considering, but I'd be suspicious of one costing much less.

You can get a good mechanical keyboard for around £60 now. Couple examples:

ROCCAT Ryos MK FX £54:
scan.co.uk/products/roccat-ryos-mk-fx-rgb-mechanical-gaming-keyboard-cherry-brown-switch-2x-arm-cpus-plus-2mb-memory-bla

K70 lux for £62
scan.co.uk/products/corsair-gaming-k70-lux-red-led-back-lit-keys-cherry-mx-blue-mechanical-standard-full-size-wired-usb-

If you didn't want cherry switches or don't mind refurbished then you could spend even less than that.

When voting cold I didn't appreciate the headset alone is around £53, given that fact it's not half bad. I'd still rather have a mechanical keyboard though!

Edit: I'm incorrect about the cost of the headset, £53 is for the better 'surround' version.

While at first this looks like a good deal, once you look at the details it is not so good. Most people would assume the keyboard and mouse to be wireless, however, you can see in the photos that there is a wire in both of these items. Also, at this price you would expect the keyboard to be mechanical but it is not.

Are you sure thats the price for the stereo headset. Online I could only find the surround sound one on sale separately so it seems like a mislead by Corsair to me.

Really?

You would expect an item which contains a headset, mouse and mouse mat, to have a mechanical keyboard included in there too? For £99?

Oooh you are right! That is sneaky, I assumed it was this one: amazon.co.uk/dp/…SA7

Looking closer that's the surround one
Can I plug this into my Xbox to stop being a noob on COD?
Doesn't seem like much of a deal to me, at £108 or 99. Thing would have to be into the £60s before I would consider it.
Wouldn't suggest anyone should buy a Corsair product. The hardware often seems good, but the accompanying software has issues, and Corsair can't or won't resolve them.
This thread shows a significant issue over a year later: forum.corsair.com/v3/…=24

This may be a keyboard and mouse, but if you want the lighting to react to system status, like cpu/gpu temp, it imply won't work reliably.

Yep but you'll be playing against keyboard and mouse (mostly pc) users so unless you are really good with a keyboard and mouse, you are just going to be outclassed again. I tried it with keyboard and mouse and even against bots my aim and coordination with movement is all over the place. I have had a gaming pc for a few years but don't play FPS on it so I'm awful with keyboard and mouse. I play way better with a controller.

My currys has hardly anything on display to actually test. Like a few mice (only logitech) and the "gaming" PCs are just hooked up to general keyboards

I have G910. Hated it. I am still using g510. Are all new key board same?

That would make the deal hard to pass up to be fair
Was just in Curry's by chance and tried the headset, wasn't too impressed by the sound to be honest, and I'm not an audiophile by any means

Depends which revision you have. They changed the key caps twice and are a lot better than the first imho.
I advice you to pick each peripherals yourself, maybe costs a bit more but this set just awful..

Excellent value!
Good value but prefer a wireless mouse.
I personally think that this is not worth. Someone interested for a starter kit should go for this bundle for £65.99 + 10% if you’re a prime member. Much better is a mechanical keyboard + mouse + headset + mouse matt. If you just wanted the mechanical keyboard is £30 without rgb , £35 with red rgb and around £40 for multicoloured rgb. I hope this would help.(y)
Owned the mouse in this set and it lasted 4 months before the left click started playing up and had to return it. Never had a mouse fail that quickly before. Check out the amazon reviews and there seems to be a lot with the same issue after just a few months use. I'd avoid.

Yes.

At £99, not a deal, just a cash grab. Mechanical keyboards are not a mythical beast that has to cost upwards of £100, I've had plenty at £65 or less - and £34 is plenty to throw in a headset and mouse+ pad on top.
Not a bad deal for the convenience of having a all in one package. But for few extra quid you could probably get better (as has been pointed out already)
The mouse is OK but I'd be wary of Corsair keyboards, I have a K63 mechanical one and I've never had such a weird keyboard, the keycaps wobble on their post leaving a floaty, uncertain feeling under the fingers and will flick off completely if you hit them at the right angle, and my left shift key just clean broke, the female part under the keycap just snapped, don't know if it was a bad batch. I've never in 30 years of keyboards ever had a key snap off under normal use, I expect better for the price. If you can, try before you buy.
The fact that's not mechanical is a plus.

I don't play with anyone on discord who I have to constantly hear "clack clack clack" over their mic.

No1 plays any better or worse by using mechanical keyboards. They're just noisier
