Seasonic focus gold in a different box. Riotoro warranty is ten years according to other vendors.
Thats well worth £60, you couldnt get a good bronze unit for that last year.
Just paid £99.98 for the RMi 750 last week
which is a tiny bit better but I may send it back and go for this.

You would send an admittedly smidge better unit back for 17 quid? (call it a save of £8.50 With all the messing about (assuming its still on route in the box and not in the pc case) It doesnt make any sense geezer.
Either you buy into Corsair hi end brand sku;s, standing and pricing or you dont, Either the price isnt an issue or you buy something else. Seriously, if a £9 loss is a problem because you bought the week before black friday (which being fair isnt big here but prices are jacked up steadily from end june until christmas for legality of boxing day and later sales reasons)
You are buying the wrong brand. Its just a name, I've been building pc's for 16 years. In all that time they NEVER offered 'value'. They didnt even make anything, just put a badge on cheap stuff other people made.

I'm not having a go,I fell prey years ago and am surprised people still fall for it.
(And yes,I know they have Jon Gerow now and the absolute top units are probably the best on the market but you wont find 'value' in any of em.)

Yeah you're right. I've wasted money many a time on takeaways that have cost more and went in the bin, it's not as if it's a massive saving. I actually have the unit already but haven't started building yet (my first ever PC build, I hope it's easy?) I take it from your post, you don't rate Corsair?

There is nothing 'wrong' with Corsair, not lately anyway. Even the new version CX units are just about good enough for a gaming rig. (The VS units arent built to last but cheapish for an old banger parts gift rig)
The lineup is just premium priced cos newbs like the name.
The unit you bought is very good quality, use it and forget about it,
I like riotoro for my next rebuild, its a seasonic focus gold in a different case.;

Warranty is actually 10 years.
Compare some of corsairs bronze units will raise your eyebrows when you actually click on the links, corsair are manipulating the search algorithm. Shows how overpriced they can get.
