Amazon deal but from Maplin Electronics.

I ordered one from Maplin on Sunday, it said it will be ready for collection in 30 mins... I drive up to the store 3 hours later where I was was told that it is out of stock even though I already paid for it. I asked for a refund which they couldn't do because it's an online order.
What the actual f***?!

You tell him

Hot, even though as usual there's no stock in my nearest 4 stores.

Picked this up yesterday, after seeing Maplin had price matched in the comments on the Amazon deal.

Don’t forget if you’ve go an NUS card, order online for store collection and show your card to get 10% off. Brings it down to a little over £65 and also her a £5 store voucher. 🏻

Bought from Amazon anticipating good things but decided to send back. At this price I think it's acceptable but for those coming from other keyboards at this price point may be disappointed by the plastic everywhere. Corsair wrist rests used to be great when the latch was metal dammit

What didn't you like apart from the plastic?

this better than k70 rgb?

I've had this for a while and it's good but there's one little thing that bugs the hell out of me.. Nearly every time you turn on the pc it won't run with all the colours instead just blue and yellow.

The only way to fix it is to unplug the USB and switch them to different ports.. Then it's fine.

But the keyboard itself is lovely, plastic wrist rests may be an issue for some but I'm yet to find the keyboard with velour wrist rests

Saw one in Selly Oak near Birmingham. Also saw saying 10% off all gaming accessories on back of the wall if anyone could argue this bargain

Oddly mine runs a config of the first set up i done

Nice keyboard though.

Not as hot as GAME's 39.99 logitech g910 keyboard but still great deal. Would I likr my mechanical keyboard to be silent though....hmmm...probably not. How silent is it bro?

You need to set it up and save your configuration to the keyboard itself so its stored in the keyboards memory. That way the keyboard will display what you want when the software isnt running ie during startup.

Its this icon

I have the Logitech G810, would have got a G910 but I don't like the fonts on the keys.
Not a fan of colors eveywhere that shine under the keys which is nearly all rgb keyboards.

I've had it over a week and it's still in the box. Been busy recovering data from some Seagate hard disks.

Preference, silent keyboards and silent pc mice.

Don't think that'll fly:

  • Claim 10% off in-store purchases with a valid NUS extra card.
  • Offer begins .... and is valid in store only

Were you running it off USB 2.0? It struggles with the power over USB on 2.0 - whereas 3.0 has a higher amp spec so powers the keyboard without issue.

I had issues with mine (though was no colour at all, not 'some') which was all resolved by moving it to USB3.
Conversely, I had issues with my Logitech G920 wheel, which was solved by moving that to USB2..!!

If only there was some sort of universal bus standard they could all conform to...

The CUEv2 software is a complete car crash, though...!! It's terrible.

I can recommend Aurora for proper interactive gaming profiles for the keyboard. They're pretty cool! project-aurora.com/

I love these Corsair keyboards. Tempted to replace my red LED version now....

Ooo wow. That looks like what I was sorely disappointed CUE was not! Thanks.

Although... I updated cue and it seems much better.

I started playing Homefront the other day and what was very nice was that the game set up the keyboard in an atmospheric stars and stripes pattern, and then in the tutorials it illuminated the relevant keys, all without any input from me. Very cool.

Well it flew for me, I did it yesterday. Order online and pay in store, before you pay, show the card voila.

No matter what I try, I can't buy one as there is "insufficient stock" even though it says in stock. Crap site... I had the same problem a while ago where I ordered one for collection in store, and even though it was in stock when I ordered it, I never got it as it was reserved for someone else in store...

Running on USB 3 but after a Google search I just accepted it as something that happens

I'm fairly sure I have it set to a profile and all saved as I've had a tinker with the settings and have a few layered effects.

It always loads fine but it works without other colours, if I unplug and switch around it'll be back to how I set it with full rgb.

It's odd but I Googled it once and some people just said it happens and the USB switch was the fix.. It's not enough to put me off the keyboard.

i've had one of these keyboards for a while now and i love it, my keys use the cherry brown switches and is great for gaming and has a nice satisfying click but not too loud.

Hot price for a name-brand RGB mechanical keyboard.

Has anyone been able to buy these? I still can't, so I bought the normal Red one from Amazon.

I played with them all on display in Maplins yesterday (all on Cherry Red, Razor and Logitech Romer-Gs too). I'd say that the HyperX FPS Alloy was by far the best quality, hardware wise. Obviously it's not RGB, and not as customisable as this one. But the Corsair's were very flimsy in comparison. I'll be waiting for the HyperX to drop to £62 again in the future.
Also, a removeable cable is key for me. Which this doesn't have.

HyperX is MX Blue. I hear a review say its not the best for gaming. It's not as responsive, it may feel better yes but does it play better?

In the corsair tool, select your profile you want then click the 'save static lighting and perfomance to the device' option

This will then become the default during boot (before corsair utility is loaded)
