Is this the fastest ddr5 latency gets? 6400 and cl32 is pretty fast right?

For the moment it's about as good as stock latency gets at 6400MHz yes. If you pump a bit more voltage into the modules you might do a little lower latencies (overclocking essentially) but this is about the limit of current DRAM modules. These will use SK Hynix M die which is ideal for AM5 since you can usually get tight latencies and most boards/current AM5 CPUs will struggle to do better than 6400MHz anyway.

If you have Intel though they can hit much higher clocks and the best for that are modules rated 6800 and CL34, which is SK Hynix A die.

Isn't this a bit over the top for tiny gains? £160 for 6400 with 10ns. Personally I'd probably get the 6000 12ns for £120. £40 saving and I bet you wouldn't even notice the difference for 99.9% of use.

If 6000mhz is the sweet spot for am5, could you down lock the frequency on these and tighten to something like cl28?

Anything over 6000mhz for AM5 has had issues, DDR5 that's 6000mhz and lowest CL you can get is best performance at time being. Watch few tec Youtubers and they been having problems with 6200mhz or over. (edited)

I'd personally go for the 6000mhz CL30 deal posted a few min before this.

Same latency (10ms) and £20 less
