I'm receiving delivery today for my keyboard. Will update as soon as I get it and give it a try. At the end of the day we can always return them if they aren't fit for purpose.
Scan's answer in regards to refurbushed:
Hello, These are factory refurbished items which have been considered to be fully working but will have the possibility of cosmetic damage. Regards,

Precisely Everyone's a winner.
Ive got one, never let me down. Bought more than one year ago from scan.
I bought a refurb red ages ago. It came with the plastic still on the aluminium and spotless condition. Not just a case of repackaging by the looks of things. I'm not getting along with reds really so might go for browns!
Only thing I dislike about this keyboard is the lack of full size enter button
I had to RMA 3 of these keyboards due to the LEDs on them dying within weeks of ownership. Dead LEDs on their K70s was quite a widespread issue and it even had its own dedicated support thread on Corsair's forums.

My advice is - while this keyboard is a solid peice of kit. If youre buying it to fit it in with your lighting scheme DONT Because those LEDs will still end up dying not long after ownership.

I was sent K70s from different batches/revisions from Corsair claiming they had found a fix to the problem but LEDs still died after a few weeks.

If youre going to buy the keyboard because its a mechanical keyboard and not for the lightning then it makes a great keyboard.

I also had a K95 bought from Amazon as soon as they had it in stock in the UK. I had it for a year before selling it to a friend of mine and all the LEDs on it are still working to this day. He's had the keyboard close to two years now and its still going strong.

Does the keyboard you got come with the proper UK layout IE big Enter button etc?
Thanks

Do you have to pay for the postage for the return ?

I've just received mine, in fact im typing on it right now and it's amazing to type on. Really fluid. It is UK layout. I'm just going to upload some pics and then I'll link the album onto this post.

All the LEDS are working correctly, no issues. Checked every key and there are no problems. Even the media keys work on mac. The keyboard came in OEM-Like brown paper box but it was sealed at the manufacturer and came with all the gubbins, including the different colour keys for the gaming part (WADS etc) and the keycap fob thing. Had a look up and down the keyboard and the keyboard is completely spotless, no marks or anything. Feels like it has never been typed on.

The last time they sold these they were repurposed US stock, changed to a UK layout. This means they can't sell as new or in retail boxes. Not had any issues but you should be ablet to see the manually altered product code on the rear sticker
LEDs are more likely cherry switch issue rather than corsair's fault, one died on my Logitech G710+ after couple of years.
Got a cheery red from scan for £45 about 7 months ago. Would prefer the browns as I use it for typing now more than gaming... Decisions

Here is the promised album link. Album. The strange mark on the rear is just condensation from my fingers due to the keyboard actually being brushed metal and quite cold.
Still not sure about getting one of those keyboard. Think the rubber membrane of the keyboard I have is fine enough.

There is a long running thread on the Corsair forums about it. The LED is not part of the switch, it's entirely seperate. Cherry do not supply the LED.

Corsair have wired up the LED's badly in regards to the resistance used. The blame is firmly with them.
Every time I buy a gaming peripheral that is 'grade A' or 'refurbished' it's encrusted with Doritos crumbs from some fat nerds sticky gaming fingers, or crystallized sweat built up in the crevices of the device. Tempting price, but I'll have to check the T&Cs of the returns.

The one I received was absolutely immaculate. Brand new. See the photos I linked if you don't believe me.

All the hair and dead skin of the previous owner has been vacuumed out.

It's the standard UK layout so it will have the full size Enter key.
You can pick these up brand new for about £25 more, for a refurb I would expect these to be cheaper than this.

Do they both have red backlighting? That's the only thing putting me off.

Yeah the ones I've seen all have red LEDs. If you want to pay an extra £35 you can get the RGB one if you want to be able to customise the colour of your LEDs. You can turn the LED off completely if you aren't that fussed and just want a high quality mechanical keyboard.

I think it's a case of continually waiting for a lottery win to justify the top Razer one.
Smashed (with red switches). Thanks poster.
Mine has just arrived, I decided to buy this after being messed around my eclipse computers if anyone saw the deal on here.

It arrived in oem packaging and sealed by corsair.

I gave the keyboard a very close inspection upon opening it and I’m yet to find a scuff/mark or any signs of even minor usage

As for the keyboard itself it’s just a delight.

To answer some question, the LEDS are ONLY red and can be either switched off completely or switched on with 3 different light intensities. There’s also a button to light up particular keys (WASD etc) which can be programmed using the software.

So review aside, if I had paid full whack for the keyboard and received it in the retail packaging I would of never guessed it was a refurbished model.

Comes with a 3 month warranty.

Here are some pictures:

I'll get my k70 RGB in an hour or 2. I'll do a full inspection and let you guys know how it is.

£92 inc standard delivery, so £27 more expensive but new with 2 year warranty
I think it's probably worth holding fire now that 50% sale at Razer has been announced.
