Maplin is having a closing down sale due to administration and I came across 16GB of DDR4 RAM for £129.49. 30% off their original price.

£34.03 cheaper then Amazon.

Only In-store. Found this at the St Paul's Maplin Branch.

price of ddr4 is crazy. when i built my system in summer 2017 i thought i'd only get 8gb and wait for the price drop. but its gone up even more
got 4 sticks of that for £75 1 year ago. Anyway still expensive for a shop that is closing down
i bought 16gb for the same price when ddr4 was brand new
Memory prices these days makes me sad. The manufacturers are probably loving it and will keep the prices high even with the issues sorted out...
RAM prices are ridiculous at the moment. Bought the 3000MHz version from eBuyer just over a year ago for £75, now they want over £190 for it
Got the 3000mhz pro ones for 115 from Maplin over the weekend.

Ah I couldn't find this, asked the guy in-store and said they don't have the 3000mhz
crazy price, i'm glad that I bought two x 8gb sticks of ddr4 summer of 2016 for half that, i'd hate to be ram shopping right now...

Yes, none available online. Store specific. Might find a better deal like another member who found 3000mhz for £110.

Just future proofing myself I guess.

Sorry, but "future-proofing" yourself while the market is at a high is a bit silly. Before you discover you actually need the RAM, it will most likely drop back down to realistic levels :).

Not in sense of price, but in sense of needing more RAM in the future... Yes most likely they'll drop down.
