I agree sennheiser are a brilliant headset manufacturer, but they don't have a wireless model and their G4ME ZERO and G4ME ONE headsets are £100 more than this, so your comment doesn't really work. Anyone looking for a wireless headset sub £100 certainly won't be looking at any Sennheisers

Sennheisers are crap anyway. Terrible build quality and over rated sound quality, especially in video games.

same price at Novatech too for anyone who prefers them.

I think it was meant to be sarcastic.

Fascinated to hear how you get "genuine 7.1" from a pair of headphones to be honest. I mean, surely there's not enough spacing to put a load of speakers in each side to give any sort of separation? Are they really that much different to a stereo headset?

at least you saw the sarcasm

denon ADH 600 or Phillips Fidelio are good alternatives. brilliant for games, films & music and have low impedance. bit more expensive but hold their value unlike this cheap & nasty 7.1 tat.

I have a pair of Corsair H2100s with Dolby 7.1 surround sound. The headphones are quite good, but to be honest, the surround sound isn't particularly convincing. Not much different to bog standard stereo. Seems a bit of a gimmick. Maybe just me.

Haha!

I don't understand how Corsair can claim 'True Dolby Surround 7.1' when there is only 1 driver per ear.

It's all done with delays AFAIK. You can fool the ear into thinking a sound is somewhere in 3D space by varying the delay on that sound in each ear.
After all, our ears only have one driver each and they manage fine using the same system.

I understand the principals of how it works with 2 drivers but what you are describing is what everyone else calls 'virtual surround sound'. For true surround surely you need separate drivers for each channel like in the Asus Strix 7.1 and Razer Tiamat 7.1

I read your comment. I confirm that.. oh wait I can just click ignore. Owned.

I bought a pair of Corsair HS2100's which are very similar in January, as the Turtle Beach headset I bought at Christmas was DOA and their support was appalling.
The Corsair pair are good quality, lightweight, comfortable to wear and easy to charge. Unlike the Turtle i60s they don't make a horrid buzzing when on charge, so you can still use them when charging from USB.
The surround-sound is software emulated, so it sounds good, but not great. However, I've very pleased with them and they rock for the money.

Do you get no hissing sound at all, I have seen lots of reviews saying that this is a recurring issue?
