Was trying to find a deal for this throughout black Friday, couldn't really find any. Then today I stumbled across this badboy and ordered it instantly.

I have the previous model and think it's f#@king fantastic. Game's see it as a 7.1 surround and therefore supply 7.1 channels of sound accordingly. The headset then works its magic and emulates 7.1 in the headsets stereo drivers which I find very effective. Good base too. But the rgb is a bit gimmicky. This is a great price.

The only problem with this headset is that the microphone thing becomes quickly worn and does not stay raised, apart from that I love them. But 82 quid seems to be a bit too pricey imo

Same here but it's gone a bit weird since I installed the Creators Update last weekend. The volume suddenly changes in BF1 when music plays and it's quite distracting.

I'm not sure how it could be Windows' fault either since Corsair's driver takes over and disables all the Sonic emulation stuff.

That seems a pretty substantial flaw for a headset.

It makes it very difficult to eat with the headset on

On bottom right of taskbar, you will see the sound icon. Right click and choose volume mixer, you will notice there are volume settings per application. Also if you go into advanced properties of your sound devices, there is some auto level option you can disable. I had same issue with discord sounding low after the update and I use hyperx cloud 2s.

Thanks, I'll give that a go. I think Corsair's CUE app tends to take over and do its own thing a lot of the time though which is why Spatial sound options are all greyed out.
