Out of stock.
I guess if they hike the prices on vitals like soap, we end up not washing our hands then go in cough all over these rip off merchants.
Question is what price did they sell this for before? Or have they always sold it for this price?

Have you tried getting the stuff you need to make your own?

Very true lied to about stock and despatch I already had 3l of IPA next batch tomorrow?

I worked with raw isopropyl alcohol for years and can tell you it isn't really good for your skin.

Cheap bottle of vodka, you can then spray in your mouth when bored at work!

nobody should use pure ipa for hand sanitizer, its normally 70% with the rest normally made up with moisturisers or glycerine which is what is recommended.

It'd only be for upto four months, I think it just makes your skin hard while you use it, hence used for bedsores and people would rub it onto soles of feet before doing an expedition/long walk e.g. Pennine Way etc.
Mum is regularly in her local Chemist to pick up prescriptions. A day ago, she noticed they hiked the price up on their hand sanitisers from around 80p-£1 to £4.

She asked the assistant, How on earth do you justify those prices? *assistant shrugged her shoulders*
..is it costing you more to source these? *assistant shrugged her shoulders again*.

Maybe the shop assistant didn't want to say anything about her employers, but it gave the impression she didn't agree either!

The experts swear by KY jelly - which means you can also use it for multiple purposes

The manufacturers of sanitiser add other ingredients like glycerine not just to stop the alcohol drying out your skin, but also it slows evaporation of the alcohol, giving it a slightly longer time to kill/destroy bacteria and viruses.

An expert advised only using Alcohol based sanitisers when soap and water wasn't available, because if used excessively, it remove grease and dries and can damage the surface of the skin making it vulnerable to the virus.

I've got about a litre or two of IPA left (I use it for cleaning electronics and other stuff), and don't have any sanitiser, so did think about mixing some up, but I'm tempted to brew up some ethanol and construct a mini still, as it is better suited, and I hate the smell of IPA.
