Recalls I think are due to faulty plug wiring in the US so UK not affected

The official issue description text indicates an internal wiring issue, not an (external) plug issue:
...determined that in extremely rare circumstances, the closed-end crimp connectors within the recalled air fryers – which are responsible for establishing electrical connections between certain wires – can overheat...
where casual observation is that the internal power components (and so likely the internal interconnecting wiring) are different between UK and North American models.

Only models sold in the United States, Canada and Mexico were effected.

    Recall Notice

There are specific models that were recalled in the US, Canada and Mexico. There also seems to have been a more proactive approach in contacting affected users there.

We returned ours to Amazon a fortnight ago for a full refund, after three years of use. Ours was a larger one (i think 7.6ltrs) No contact from Amazon or the manufacturer, but the model and serial numbers on ours matched those on the US site. Amazon are aware of the issue, and didn't put up any barriers.

We now have a Ninja, and in comparison to this it's woeful. I personally had no issues with ours, and wouldn't hesitate in getting another model that wasn't affected.

For what we paid for our Ninja, I'm gutted. (and ours was heavily discounted) (edited)

Very helpful this.. Do you mean the ninja double drawer one? Trying to decide if I should send mine back and get the ninja 2 drawer but wondering how it compares

I have the wifi version its a very good Air Fryer, I would say its up there with the best on the market.
Some one saying...Same thing (almost!) under a different name available much cheaper from Costco, its no way near the same! Have a look inside the Cosori it has an easier cleaning system with less parts to fiddle and clean ..... Cosori all the way for me. do a google review.. (edited)
