*Costco locations require a membership. Not ALL items are considered a deal (i.e. cheaper than supermarket prices) - you need to decide ;-)

If you’re on the fence. Seeing the deals your not allowed to see might tempt you to join up to see the deals you can’t normally see
Also I am a member through work and don’t get the flyer sent to me.

I've been a member for years and never had the catalogue posted. So this is helpful for me.

Well, that shut down the negativity quickly

Another option is to sign up via LivingSocial pay £34 for membership and get a load of freebies, voids the cost of membership. This has been posted on here this week. Got my chicken, cake, batteries and £34 discount.

A lot of members as stated do not get the catalog of offers so well played op

Erm.... so those who aren't members might see something they like and sign up? Costco membership isn't a closed shop you know.

Update your address details at the customer services desk and you'll receive their monthly catalogue.

Was hoping for better booze deals for Christmas. Nothing special this year

Helpful post, appreciate the effort OP.

I didn't renew my membership, nothing on here that would make me renew but it's good to see if it's worthwhile before renewing.

I'm a second card holder on someones business account so I don't get one. What was the point in your post?

Me too. Amusing that someone would waste the time to post about what a waste of time the original post was.

Useful for me I don't get them! Also if you have AMEX check if you have the cashback deal £20 back on £150 spend

Cracking price for the Doritos. Just under 76p per bag!

Been a member for 15 years and go every 2 weeks and don’t get these leaflets.
And personally don’t need them as we are there regularly and they stock that much nothing ever sells out .
Great informational posts in case people want to join . Saved ££££s over the years at Costco . And save 4p every litre of diesel I use from Asda and Tesco prices and 8p from BP . So big saving over the year .

Come to think of it, I'm the second card holder and Costco don't have my address, that would be why i don't get them loll(lol)

Shame not like the American Costco deals..

Luckily they also have an optician so you can get glasses to read the teeny tiny leaflets .
Looks great, thanks op

And what exactly is the point of that post? A not so stealth boast? Does anyone really care what you save personally?

It would have been more helpful to members if you had stated that a Executive membership at £34+VAT annually gives you 2% cashback annually, limited to a max of £400 for individual members. Which only adds up if you spend £2050+ annually in Costco. That would be the threshold to break even and at least get you extra membership premium back. Anything over £2050 spent then earns you a tangible cashback. Otherwise you are just trying to break even and reclaim the extra cost of the membership.

More helpfully, the Costco Amex cashback card provides cashback as a costco voucher. 1% for Costco and all spends, 2% on travel bookings and 3% on eating out. Plus this card does not have an annual membership fee either. Downsides are that no all places accept Amex.

I just hate it when people post what they paid for an item 5 years ago, or how much they save without actually trying to help others with detailed instructions. Isn't that the point of the site, rather than a "look how clever I am" post?

Thanks for the post.

Thanks, Great Post

Thank you for the post and all the info. Could someone help me though please, as the Yale alarm shown includes a lot more than shown on the Costco website. Yet the item numbers are the same? This is decider on wherever I join up or not. Many thanks in advance.

I would ring them. Customer service is topnotch - you basically can return ANYTHING you're not happy with (without having to justify reason why at the customer service desk). You have something like a year to return an item, as long as it's not looking in an abused state. Membership has its privileges
