Anyone local had any issues with their car after using this station?

My last fill up from them was on Friday and had no problems. Used it around 6 months ago as well and no problems.
Why would there be a problem?
People thinking that because it's Costco it'll be ****. They make there money through tax loops hence why they can offer items so low
Hope that's not the pre VAT price
We started using the petrol there and within a few days we had problems with the car (juddering). Might have just been coincidence but it took us a few attempts with a decent mechanic to sort it.

That's not correct. Costs make a lot of their profit through membership fees. Watford branch alone has 800,000 members paying at least £24 each. That is £19,200,000 before they have sold anything.

Should say Costco.
It looks like there are only 2 Costco locations that do fuel, Liverpool and Oldham.
Bit of a shame as i would go there if my local Costco did fuel.
I fill my cab up there every other day and it definitely runs better on Costco fuel.
When it opened they told me the diesel is Shell V-power.
The place is spotlessly clean as well, just wish it had a free airline.

*shakes head*
I have been using this since it opened, have not had a singe problem with the diesel at all. I have only every had one problem in the last 6 years with a diesel filter on a previous car when I was using Sainsburys for my fuel.

I do not fill up anywhere else these days.
Bristol are building one.
Didn't realise they had any Costco fuel stations over here. Whilst in America they all had them. Shame I couldn't use the UK card to fill up over there though!
You should know that Costco fuel accept only one payment method, debit card. They do not accept cash or credit cards.
If you have any Tesco money off fuel then Tesco is cheaper anyway.

You can go in to an American warehouse with your UK membership card and buy a Costco cash card which can be used at their petrol stations. Did this a few times when I was over there myself.

I do it every time, if you're in Orlando and you need to take your hire car back full, they sometimes want to see a receipt for fuel. As Costco is not that far from MCO I use this every time. I tend to use the same Costco cash card each year as I always have money left on it.

You can we use them all the time over there, dead handy as Costco memberships are internationally valid just pop in and ask them for help and they will get you sorted out.
So does oldham definitely have a station or is it just Liverpool? I'm up in Manchester on the 10th and it might be worth a trip to fill up.

If you understood their business model you would know that's not true. Costco push their supply chain to make savings on all product, they force down the prices more than any retailer. They have been known to rent a warehouse in the states and fill it with charmin after a manufacture said they were going to increase the price. Storing it was cheaper than paying the higher price for 6 months. Little known fact costco are the worlds biggest wine retailer. Amazing when you see the price of their wine and look at the competition.
Oldham fuel station now open. I filled up there and have had no problems with the fuel (unleaded) - I thought the car was running smoother than my normal Morrisons / Asda fuel. The station was spotless. Will definitely fill up again when I'm there or nearby, as its not worth going a long way out of the way to fill up.

Probably a long way off yet as it looks like they've only just started.

I think that the cheapest membership available is Individual membership, which now costs £25 + vat, so £30 per year.

The fuel prices shown are 10p per litre cheaper than my local garage are charging just now!

I would have thought anyone who has had any mechanical fault with their car in their lifetime has filled it up at a petrol station shortly before it broke down, I don't think it is evidence one way or the other. If there was a problem as such, it'd affect a lot of cars.
Got to say I always use the premium unleaded as it's so cheap and my car hasn't skipped a beat - feels a bit more powerful and smoother anyway and roughly the same price as standard elsewhere. As previous poster said the place (Liverpool anyway) is absolutely spotless, you could eat your dinner off it.

I get my membership through work so cost not an issue. They are not the cheapest on everything but you can get loads of stuff there you'd never see anywhere else. I always stock up on San Pellegrino (33p a bottle) and a 1.5kg jar of jelly belly's every so often. The screaming chicken wings are scrummy as well!
People thinking standard fuel that comes from different branded stations is better/worse is Deluded. Standard all comes from the same place.

No more than 107.7p for diesel or 105.7p for unleaded - maybe even cheaper

interesting figures thanks, does your quote exclude the free card for spouse/domestic partners? ie 800,000 _main_ members plus spouse/domestic partner as I think that would _really_ make a difference warehouses.costco.co.uk/mem…ip/ cheers

I don't think people think like that.

You know this for a fact ?
Work in the petrochemical industry ?
Using supermarket standard causes my car to have a check engine light with a fault code for catalytic converter efficiency, if I use standard from any other petrol station , no issues.....
Have learnt the hard way, worth paying the frmew extra pennies per litre. Thankfully enough competition around here Texaco and shell not too much more than asda /sainsburys /Tesco

As a former chevron ( texaco) Pembroke refinery employee I must state You are totally right all fuel in the uk is sourced at one of the 8 refineries across the country. All fuel must comply to a research octane rating (Ron) which is usually 95 Ron unleaded and anything between 98-101 Ron super unleaded.as you state up until this point all fuel is equal. What makes a difference is what each individual company adds in tanker eg. Cleaning and wear agents hence why I would rather pay a few pence extra when I fill my Alfa for v power. But get that difference back in the long run as increased mileage over standard fuel.and a cleaner engine.

104.9 in Glasgow on Saturday, local Jet. Price is nothing special.

Depends on where you are, prices vary a lot. 104.9 would be a whole 5p of a litre of the cheapest petrol in my local area.
