Just been to my local Costco at Chester and saw the sign and confirmed this at fill up. Have not seen it this low for a long time.

Not sure if it's just this branch but worth a look at your local station.

I will be checking my local costco tomorrow
Same at oldham
ASDA and Sainsburys are this price or 1p more in some places today too.
Premium unleaded is Ron 97 at Costco and costs the same as Asda , Tesco standard unleaded which is Ron 95 .
Doesn’t really matter much anymore as today’s new engines are designed for Ron 95 and everything you read online tells you no matter if you put cheap supermarket fuel or shell premium super unleaded , it makes no difference with the new engines .
How true that really is I don’t no .

That’s not the same quality fuel though - Costco’s fuel is far superior to the supermarket stuff.

Still good Fuel yes , but not Ron 99 no more . They kept it Quiet and they where made to remove Ron 99 stickers last year .
So people like yourself still think you are getting a higher grade Ron 99 . As you kind of Argued with me thinking you where correct. Ask them to swap stickers .

Nope .
It’s cheaper than premium petrol .
But more expensive than Standard petrol .
Do you need a costco card for costco fuel?

Maybe, maybe not. With most cars it makes no difference, especially with diesel. I went from Shell to BP to Morrisons/ASDA (several months/years on each one as we changed company fuel cards/policies) and noticed no real difference. I have noticed that one or two tanks of supermarket fuel have given much lower economy, but I drive 25kmiles+ a year so this is probably just bad luck (or something random going on with my car/driving patten that week.

The nearest Costco filling station is over 100miles from me, my engine and wallet will be far worse if I do that round trip every time I fill up!

Shame,

Oh well your loss! Meanwhile Costco members everywhere fill up and get miles more to the gallon then those that fall for the supermarkets offers.

Its a proven fact in my case because I've tested the differences!
Ron..Ron..Ron.. oh good old times..39845097-I16c3.jpg

There's a fair bit wrong with that mate. High performance modern engines are absolutely designed for higher octane content. By all means, if you're rolling up in a 1 litre Fiesta there's no point putting anything in than bog standard 95. Shell is a different composition entirely, synthetic. Costco also claim to put 'additives' into their fuel to make it cleaner - how true (and different to others) this is I don't know.

The old debunked wives tail was that 95 fuel from 'petrol stations' and supermarkets were different, they aren't, it's the same stuff.

Edit: It looks as though diesel went down in price today across the board. Of course I threw £70 worth in mine yesterday! Derby Costco was 122.whatever if I remember correctly, certainly not in the teens.

And soon Costco Coventry will have a fuel station. Yey!
Didn't want to create a new thread but just noticed Costco selling Birkdale front doors fully fitted for £1129. Anyone had one installed by them?

Complete B0110cks. For example Tesco's fuel is supplied by Greenergy who happen to also supply Esso. All fuel supplier more or less supply the same stuff.

Air pressure, density, temperature and humidity all play a part on how much fuel your consumes, not where u fill it up from!
