Where does everyone get this from? I’m assuming an email? I’m a member and they never email me petrol prices?

That is a ridiculous statement sir
That's a good price, shame their prices can't be checked online
How do you manage to get the email. I'm a member and never get one and there is one across the road from me here at work in Liverpool
Why can't they build a petrol station at Costco Leeds?

I've read that it's Shell fuel so if you normally run it on supermarket fuel I'd expect it would run better on this stuff.

Now we wait for the experts to come and tell us all fuel is the same.
I know someone who works at the refinery that supplies Costco, it is the equivalent of the Shell V-Power, said something about special formula/additive added to the mix. So will run better than regular Diesel.

all fuels are the same its the additives which are different

edit just to keep @MonkeyMan90 happy this was a joke, of course the end product is different with the additives in it, basic petrol is the same it comes from the same refineries often in the same tankers and at the retailer the additives make the fuel different. Some will argue that there is better performance and some won't however you feel about this is your own opinion and there is research out there however I am not going to get into that.

Well I can only tell you that the computer on the car is showing an increase on economy and it’s the same journey I do every day and I believe the performance is sharper, but rest assured if you think every fuel is the same then you keep using supermarkets..

So not all fuels are the same . That's like saying a cake and a Yorkshire pudding are the same because it has similar ingredients.

Costco use shell V power equivelant so not it isn't. Much better than cheap supermarket fuel.
Anyone know the price in Chester Costco please?
115.9 a litre at Bristol at the moment

technically petrol is petrol, diesel is diesel the basics are the same, take your Yorkshire puds, but instead of cooking them in the oven fry them into pancakes the basics are still the same Better one you have gin and tonic its still gin just with something added, and you might like supermarkets own tonic but might think fever tree is a better additve

No they're not the same that's why some performance cars can't run on supermarket fuel. You should do some research on this before trying to pick this argument

my original comment was a joke, not arguing at all, of course they are different the additives make all of the difference but the basic chemistry of the fuel is the same. As my add to my last comment, you might like gin and supermarket tonic but you might like fever tree it still gin but different gin and tonic and tastes better.
Wish I had a Costco membership so I could get fuel at this price! Cheapest nearer me is Asda at 126.7 per litre for unleaded which is still too high given that Oil is running at less than $70 a barrel currently. Not sure why we are paying nearly £1.30 a litre when Oil is fairly low in price currently. I remember back to when we were paying £1,40 a litre a good few years back I think Oil was around $130 a barrel at that point so the prices now are ridiculous.
I guess because the price of oil is pegged to the price of the US Dollar, which is currently at its lowest level I can remember. We use Costco fuel, annoying they just peg the prices to be cheaper than local competition, but still a decent price none the less.

I drive 20k+ miles a year and also try to use Costco fuel exclusively. As it's premium diesel, I get the same performance as from BP Ultimate / Shell V-Power etc. but at a lower price than regular diesel = result!
Have been using costco diesel for over a year now. Would recommend over supermarket fuel, and also alot cheaper than shell v power. In my own experience, my egr valve needed cleaning out every 6 months otherwise it would get clogged up and the car would go into limp mode. Since using costco diesel, car has been running great, and egr was still going strong after 12 months.
This price isn't correct, not sure where it's from but I filled up there today, it's 123.7 (unleaded). Really confused how this got voted hot?

Seems to be. A real shame as we just joined and wanted 99 for the wife's Mini JCW.
Brita filter included?

Diesel was £129.7
norm price say £1.327*60l=79.62
Costc price £1.247*60l=74.82

Total saving £4.80

Cost of fuel to get to costco
10mile 36mpg above price= £1.64

For sake of saving £3.16 this fuel needs to be v power equivalent.

On a side note. Membership £33 a year. fuel saving for 12 months on 60l a month if this rate stayed the same is 37 so ur saving £4 a year lining costco,s pockets

Result get urself a free cooked chicken

Or you can buy a membership for the shop not just fuel

There is actually nothing in there that warrants the membership. Its all expensive. Only got it this year to get their jack and made it sweeter with the cafe. I cant find anything that isn't cheaper in b&m farmfoods or supermarkets

Quality over quantity personally, but I find buying in bulk works out a lot better.

Me too im on about same product different shop.

No I didn't get them from costco
smegal31/05/2019 09:02

Why?

Fifth gear did a controlled test between supermarket and branded fuel a few years back and found that there was little or no difference between them.

Chester Costco is a rip off. It's because all the snobs live here.
