For the benefit of anyone running small petrol engines like strimmers or lawnmowers, always buy the premium petrol, as it doesn't contain any methanol. Methanol will gum up the small jets in your carburettor and unless you are up to rebuilding one it's an expensive fix. A few pennies spent on the better fuel will pay you back handsomely.

Not as far as I’m aware.
my area morrisons or even Tesco and texco are between 1.20-1.25 for petrol
116.9 is the cheapest locally for me at Sainsbury.
Places like Shell have put their prices up by a good 5p in the last week or two and are now back to 124.9p or so.

Why the .9 anyway? Can't they just round it up to 125p or are we stupid enough to believe 124.9 is a far better deal than 125?

Really? One place I passed this morning was 135.9 for unleaded & 143.9 for diesel

Yes. You have to scan your membership card at the pump before you can do anything.

NB: The diesel is premium diesel. No standard diesel at the pumps. Worth bearing in mind when comparing prices.

This isn't supermarket fuel and it is cheaper than most supermarkets if not all

Yes. Also, all pumps are automated, there is no kiosk or shop taking cash. The pumps only take debit cards or American Express.

Which normally means you in and out quicker than other petrol stations.
Hot hot hot from me. Was wondering when we were getting one.
I filled up this morning. I was impressed. 3p cheaper than the Asda opposite which is the cheapest in Leicester. And the attendant said they will always be cheaper than the nearest pump.
Also that's for premium diesel which is a bargain.

If you join as a gold member it is dearer but with the rewards of 2% on every Costco card purchase, the card will pay for it'self at renewal time.. Providing you buy most of your fuel and other goods at Costco... I've got an ALL STAR company car card but only cover private mileage so buy all of my fuel at Costco saving me about £25 per month. Cheapest elsewhere is Sainsbury's or Tesco at £1.29 for diesel.
Do they charge VAT on top as they do on items in store?

It difficult to say but I heard rumours it may be Greenergy.
I did recently notice that their Super unleaded petrol 99RON has been replaced by 97RON.

Don't you mean ethanol? I don't think premium fuel manufacturers guarantee that there will be no ethanol. Last I heard BP Ultimate was least likely to contain it but even their fuel varies from place to place.

Best to drain the tank and carb bowl at the end of the season such that moisture contamination (caused by ethanol being hygroscopic) is minimised.

I find with premium fuel it's actually a bit harder to start my 4 stroke mower so started using this instead. Time will tell, I guess

Great price for premium diesel, nearest to me BP (Ultimate Diesel) is 144.9

Can you scan your card more than once? What I mean is can you fill up 2 cars? Or do you have to wait a certain period before using your costco card again?
