Glad some of you will benefit from this. I was going to get one from Argos at £23.99 until I saw this. First post after all these years, it's about time I contributed a little. A Costco deal always stirs emotions.

i could post "iPhone £10" but you have to pay £60pm contract. So the price isn't £11.98

A little counter-intuitive as carbon monoxide sinks (heavier than air) so it's recommended to install an alarm around waist height, whereas smoke rises and smoke alarms should be on the ceiling in central areas.

If I was to install these items in my house, I'd get 2 separate ones for this reason. If cost is the reason holding you back from a smoke alarm - The fire service supplies AND installs free smoke alarms (whilst going through things like your escape plan, highlighting hazards and risks and checking your sockets), and focuses particularly on those most vulnerable to fire - which surprisingly is young professionals, plus also smokers, those with young kids, those with mobility issues or disabilities, those in social housing. The service is available to all, for free, but those groups above tick boxes for bureaucrats.

I posted a costco deal once and got a wave of abuse, no need is there! Puts you off posting anything again

And its not always £30 membership for those smarty pants whinging I get my TRADE MEMBERSHIP through my employer for £14 so Ner-Ner !! ;-)

...for those getting their knickers in a twist about membership: if you have a family member who has a Costco card, you can get put on their membership.

Also, great deal. Hot!

On a seperate note, I was thinking of joining costco, but am wondering what it is best for ie, meat, bog rolls

Was just wondering if was worth the joing fee, thanks for any help.

We mainly use it for various meats, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, washing powder. Not everything works out cheap, but they do have some really good deals. There cakes are also amazing and are great value.

almost worth the membership for those bad boy hotdogs for £1.50 including a refillable drink!

Many years ago it was worth the money, however with the internet, the deals are now far and few, I cancel last year as I found I could purchase far cheaper on the internet and did not have to buy in large quantities to get the deals. If your savvy and keep your eyes out you can find better grocery deals in the supermarkets, and you don't have to travel miles to get there.

£22.98 on ebay so hot from me!

I read is as a 2 pack not a joint device! Cheers. May change mind as dont want a smoke alarm in my kitchen but i guess thats where i need my carbon monoxide alarm if my boilers there!

Just been to Costco , essex and the price for the Kidde combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarm with voice is £17.98. However, just a stand alone Kidde carbon monoxide detector costs £11.98. I purchased the combination one and without your misleading deal, I would never have made an effort!! Who knows, you might have saved someones life!

wow really loud alarm, don't know if you really need the voice as that is low, anyways going into bedroom!

The deal is advertised in the letter that gets posted and as indicated the deal starts tomorrow, The price states £14.99 less £5.00 and then add VAT, so £11.99 including VAT.

I was in the Costco Store today and their January catalog does not state any kidde promotions.
